The point is that it is inevitable for the Greek tragic hero to have a tragic flaw and it also inevitbale that gods seek vengeance when he has not satisfied them.
The point is that even the Shakespearean Tragic hero is doomed to his Hamartia and so is the modern anti hero. Perhaps this inevitability is reason enough why tragedy was regarded as the most respectable and complete form of literature in the ancient times. seems it was and is the exact portrayl of our lives.
