I started reading this book, and after the first 3 chapters (when I realized what it was about) I put it down. Its about an interesting subject, and I highly reccomend you don't read this book. Its very strange.

higgs continues her series set in 19th century scotland and loosely based on the story of jacob and his multiple wives from the bible. in this installment jamie is married to rose, the sister of leanah his former wife. rose is raising leah's son and has just found out she is expecting one of her own. leah decides that it is time for her to return home--thinking that rose and jamie have left--and her return causes much upheaval in this most unusual household. meanwhile, jamie's father-lachlan...more

Great conclusion to the three books. I loved it. It was exciting to see what the characters learned from their experiences and how it helped their characters to grow and progress. I loved the strength of character of Leanna and Jamie. And that Lachlan got his just due.

Excellent christian fiction. The last of a series of three and the best of them all. (I'd give the first two 4 stars) I love the "modern day" (18th century) spin on an old biblical story of Jacob, Rachel, Leah and Laban. It's intersting to see how the old and new parallel each other and how issues like marrying sisters is and deception is resolved.

This is the third installment of this series. I couldn't put it down. It is by far the longest book in the three book series and was a bit more daunting but I plowed through very quickly. The story is so engaging and there is so much drama that you just can't wait to hear what happens next. I would highly recommend this book.

This is the 3rd installment of the Rebekah/Leah story from Liz Curtis Higgs, and it is very good, and a very quick read. You just don't want to put it down. I love how Liz allows you to feel, and see with her writing. I love this series.

I thought this book wrapped up the story nicely. Jamie gained some respect by the end of the book. He bugged me a little in the last book. I'm excited to read on with the next generation!

You have to read all three books. I very much enjoyed the conclusion. I couldn't figure out how the author was going to solve the dilemma. Very sweet

The third in the Higgs series, and finally, the reader can have closure. (You'll understand after finishing Fair is the Rose.)
