Semuanya tipis, hanya berkisar di 100-an halaman saja.

My intuitionrecommends it for: Penulis Buku Anak

I liked this children's book, half traditional chapter book, half graphic novel. Didn't make much of an impression on me, though. That's true for Pullman's other novels too, including his famous Golden Compass series. I don't know how to respond to them, somehow. I didn't realize that he lifted the character of Spring-Heeled Jack from English folklore when I read the book. Maybe if I'd grown up with the story it would have meant more.

I thought this book was quirky and funny. It had cute cartoons and a great story. I love how Pullman took an 19th century "penny dreadful' That was read by Brits all over England and made it into a comic story. I think I would recommend this book to my friends that have any likelihood to enjoy this. Pullman is one of my favorite authors and he still hasn't made a book I would think of criticizing. --E

Well, don't look for too much progression of characters here -- but Spring-Heeled Jack is indeed entertaining, a combination of text/images that would make you laugh in awe. I only wish the editor/setter of the Indonesian edition had been more careful because some of the images are not aligned correctly with the text.

Its an elementary school read. It was cute, but like all Pullman books has a variety of story lines going on that come together in the end. Three children are placed in an orphanage and try to escape but suffer a variety of mishaps along the way. They continue to strive to be reunited with their father.

Set in Victorian London, Pullman takes us to the world where a superhero roams the street to help the needy. Told in an unusual way, a combination of novel and comic, Pullman splendidly entertains us.
