My mother player a 45 of her music for me, when I was 8 years old. mother would handle only her most special records with cotton gloves, and she had them on this spring afternoon. I so fell for this voice and her name-unique as my own. A piece of my childhood left me on Christmas. Now, I know how my father felt-when he shed a tear for B/W screen stars I never could remember their names. Yes-I have the record still, from that day.
