"So he stood back in the world again, in the Mojave Desert; and the whole world was a simulation, a perfect fiction. A book that actually was blank. Nothing wrote it, but itself; and how this could be was the greatest mystery. For if he could read it properly he knew that all the words would disappear."

Eartha Kitt, 1927-2008My mother player a 45 of her music for me, when I was 8 years old. mother would handle only her most special records with cotton gloves, and she had them on this spring afternoon. I so fell for this voice and her name-unique as my own. A piece of my childhood left me on Christmas. Now, I know how my father felt-when he shed a tear for B/W screen stars I never could remember their names. Yes-I have the record still, from that day.
MERRY CHRISTMAS!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...
Frosty the Snowman
the last of the 1950'- B/W classics of Chicagoland childhoods! Blessings of the season to one and all!
