Franklin wants a shiny, red scooter just like his friend Rabbit's, but Franklin doesn't have enough money to buy one. To raise funds, Franklin sets up a lemonade stand and a yard sale --- but still falls short. Then he discovers that Rabbit wants a bicycle. Since Franklin already owns a bicycle, the two friends arrive at the perfect solution: sharing. This Level 2 first reader contains longer stories, varied sentences, increased vocabulary, more difficult visual clues and some repetition.

Sharon Jennings is a children's book author. She has published over 70 books in 27 years. She teaches writing at Ryerson University. She was President of The Canadian Society of Children’s Authors, Illustrators and Performers (CANSCAIP) for three terms.

It is a good story with a great message at the end. Sharing is a great way to meet everyone's wishes. I originally thought they might trade, but sharing is even better. Pictures and word choice make it great for young readers.

Cute little book about Franklin wanting a scooter, doing some side jobs to try to get one…then realizing that he can share his bike with his friend who wants a bike and has a scooter.

In this book, Franklin wants a scooter, and he already has a bike. At the end, Rabbit wants to buy Franklin's bike, and Franklin says no because it isn't on sale. Franklin wants a scooter, and Rabbit wants a bike. Then Franklin and Rabbit have the same idea. "We'll switch everday." And Rabbit rides off on Franklin's bike. Franklin rides off on Rabbit's scooter, and Bear and Beaver run after them.

This book is great to read if you're a beginner in french. I enjoyed it and learnt a handful.
