In the world of the future, dying is easy--it's the afterliving that's hard! When Nicky is killed at the age of 27 by a suicide bomber, he wakes up in a Resurrection Center, having been made into an albino, pink-eyed "zombie." The beleagued community of zombies is dominated by the very old, and subject to all manner of social discrimination. Nicky has lost his girlfriend, and no one will now laugh at his jokes. But when the Rehabilitation facility is attacked by an angry mob of the living, things start getting all too serious.... Another haunting Tale of the Biotech Revolution.
Brian Michael Stableford was a British science fiction writer who published more than 70 novels. His earlier books were published under the name Brian M. Stableford, but more recent ones have dropped the middle initial and appeared under the name Brian Stableford. He also used the pseudonym Brian Craig for a couple of very early works, and again for a few more recent works. The pseudonym derives from the first names of himself and of a school friend from the 1960s, Craig A. Mackintosh, with whom he jointly published some very early work.
