All your favorite Pokémon game characters jump out of the screen into the pages of this action-packed manga!
Pearl, Diamond and Lady Berlitz finally reach the base of Mt. Coronet. They’re all set to scale its cloudy peak...but first, there are dancing Contests to win, badges to compete for and enemies to evade!
Speaking of enemies, are those shadowy figures members of...Team Galactic?!
I read stuff like this manga and I wonder to myself "Why do I still like this ridiculous crap I am sixteen." Then I remember I don't care and Pokémon is life.
So far these Diamond and Pearl volumes haven’t really grabbed me. That’s probably because they just seem to be plodding along more than following any sort of story. Possibly because the game they are based on had very little plot to follow in the first two main games.
Hopefully it picks up in the next volume but there’s only one way to find out.
It’s so addictive and funnier than the first one but the best one of them is number two.I love the series but my favorite book is Timmy failure 5. I don’t know if you will like it but I recommend this book if you love Pokémon. I just want you to know that I love pokémon and I hope that you liked my review of Pokémon adventures diamond and pearl platinum book 2!
This is much better than I expected! It is full of intriguing situations and I can easily imagine it stirring the desire to learn in children. Volume 2 includes a section where one of the characters speaks pigeon French. I can't help wondering how they do that with kanji.
Really enjoying this chapter. The characters of Diamond, Pearl and the "Lady" are really enjoyable and different from the previous characters of Red, Blue, Green, Yellow, Gold, Silver, Crystal, Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. I am looking forward to a reunion of sorts with all the Pokedex Holders, as these three are more "goofy" than the previous 10. All in all, this was a good volume and I think it was nicely done how the group are in-danger of Team Galactic throughout the entire volume even though they themselves never confronted them in this volume or knew that they were targets; drives the point home that everything is a big misunderstanding.
Finally, Team Galactic has revealed itself to the trio of travellers in the Sinnoh region. Some of the action is slowed, for development of the characters personalities...but you can tell that the author and artist have major things coming down the pipeline soon. (Of course, I'm up to volume 37 in the Japanese editions...which will be volume 7 of this series...so I already know a bit of what's going to happen!)
Having had their pokemon evolve at the end of the volume, Lady, Diamond, and Pearl (suddenly reminded of a Prince song) venture to Hearthome City and enter a, for all intents and purposes, pokemon beauty pageant. Diamond is apparently fond of cooking in addition to eating so I suppose that's a small development? Again, it's only okay, so while it's not painful to read, I wouldn't read this unless your child asks you to.
So, this one seemed to still follow the formula with just a few touches. There is an emerging large story arc that is slowly taking shape. Like a lot of those story based games in the 90s, these books have a certain flow with repetition and a few laughs thrown in. They still remind me of Lil Archie without reference to real world sites but rather the tour guide to the region.
I loved this book. If it is possible this book was funnier than the last. I love reading the pokemon Adventures books and can't wait to read the next one.
