Hirohiko Araki ( 荒木飛呂彦) is a Japanese manga artist. He left school before graduation from Miyagi University of Education.

He enjoys the baseball manga Kyojin No Hoshii (Star of the Giants); the video games Mario Kart and Bomberman; and likes Prince and other African-American singers, as well as jazz, rock, and rap.

He is a recipient the Tezuka Award for manga.

I give this 4 Star Platinum for Nostalgia

Guess every that happens on Egypt never stays on Egypt. Jean Pierre Polnareff is back and his not looking great.

Bucellatti is 50/50 dead by now.
Diavolo(Boss) finally shows his identity.
Polnareff is Physically dead yet manage to pull something in the last second.

Part 5 is almost at its end.

Polnareff ha llegado con una misión, darle una explicación a las flechas, de tal manera de quizá quitarle el stand a Diavolo, independiente cual sea el plan, tenemos certezas que nuestro querido francés ya pasó a mejor plano con Buccellani y Abbachio. Llegó el momento de la verdad, una pelea donde realmente se sienta el peligro latente de un pequeño creado del espíritu santo, con una pasado trágico, pero que siendo sincero, lo hace un un villano menos interesante que los anteriores. Quizá las entidades divinas de Battle Tendency son peores, pero la gracia de esos personajes erradicaban en lo hegemónicos y teatrales que eran, como si una trágica obra griega se tratara. Y este volumen también me ha demostrado que la tecnología francesa es una mierda comparado con la alemana, ¿qué es eso de estar en silla de ruedas? Rudol von Stroheim le daría vergüenza ver esa maquinaria.

El tema de Bruno me sigue teniendo con el corazón en la garganta.

La vuelta de un personaje que sinceramente es de mis favoritos, sólo espero a ver que pasa con él al final de la historia.

もはや何がなんだか分からんが、ポルナレフを久々に見られて嬉しい。
たった36歳なのに重鎮感凄いけど。
それと、ブチャラティの体の謎も分かりかけてきた。
が、やはり、クライマックスに向かうあたりの物語は長くて飽きてくる。

This one kind of feels like a transition volume. The wrap up for the Oasis fight was alright. I don't fully get how Bruno's zippers allow him to swim through the ground. Wouldn't it be one thin layer at a time, instead of this weird depiction we have here? Now that I think about it, the action was strangely hard to follow at the end of this volume. Particularly between Diavolo and Polnareff. I struggled to paint a mental image of how things flowed from panel to panel and page to page. Maybe it's just because I'm sick and loopy. But this is something Araki has historically struggled with.

Regardless, it was a weird feeling to see Polnareff again. I love the guy, but he has been through the wringer. It's so bittersweet to see the comic relief character come back as a battered, stoic veteran. I certainly was not expecting him to use the stand arrow, so it'll be interesting to see what becomes of this.

Something else that was hard to watch was the way Bruno has declined. The poor guy might as well be on his deathbed, but he's still up and moving. It's tragic. Things are made only worse by the fact that he is literally in the arms of the enemy. Araki is really good at building up tension for the bad guy getting caught. And then Buccialati starts trying to will his house to Trish before they head into the final fight. Ugh, my heart.

So yeah, this volume felt kind of like a transition as we head into the final battle, but it had its share of emotional moments and some Diavolo-centric thrills.

No sé si es el mejor tomo desde que empezó Vento Aureo, pero tiene tantas cosas que me gustan, que ya es hora de que promedie para arriba de nuevo: el final rebuscado de una pelea épica. El foreshadowing de una tragedia con uno de los personajes más importantes de la patota. La vuelta de un personaje grosso de dos generaciones atrás. Un cachito de secret origin con los primeros años de Diavolo. Y Vinegar Doppio. El final, obviamente desconcertante, pero por lo poco que ya leí del tomo siguiente, va a traer cola.
¡¡Quedan dos y termino Viento Dorado!! :D
