Thirty-four amusing cat-related puns and riddles are presented to beginning readers in this brightly illustrated addition to a popular series of riddle books. Reprint.
Our girls seem to be enamored with riddles right now and during a visit to the library, we came across a treasure trove of riddle books by Katy Hall and Lisa Eisenberg. So we have spent the weekend guffawing over Creepy Riddles, Chickie Riddles, Bunny Riddles, and our youngest's all-time favorite, Mummy Riddles. They all have very corny jokes, but fun nonetheless. And the illustrations are fun, too. Our youngest has read this aloud and to herself several times.
This book had all sorts of jokes about cats. This book would be good for teaching a unit on riddles or jokes. It has some pretty illustrations and in some parts references to history on some of the riddles. This book would be for somebody who is interested in cats or somebody who like jokes. It would fit in the category for students ages 4-8.
OK...gotta admit it, there was something stupidly cute about this book. I will admit that I even found myself giggling at some of the riddles. They were partnered up with adorable illustrations to fit the jokes that emphasized their cuteness.
