This was so good I can’t believe how it was perfectly planned out. There is something confusing about this book, what I mean is that it’s a manga so if you read it you have to read it backwards.Sometimes I just accidentally flip The wrong way. I recommend this book if you like Pokémon. It’s so addicting! I love it I totally would love to own this book. If you’re looking for my review on book 2, then search Pokémon Adventures Diamond Pearl and Platinum volume two you’re looking for good times get this book but be sure to read volume one and two first! I think the best part is right around the start. If you ever start to like Sinnoh region Pokémon better than other regions Pokémon then this series is the book series for you! This is like my fifth favorite book in the whole wide world!!!!! I bet you will love this series, if you start reading it be careful, you might get addicted! Hope you liked my review on Pokémon Adventures Diamond Pearl and Platinum volume three! I bet you’ll love this book if you read it. P.S. There’s more than 10 books in the series so if you want to read the whole series that you might want to have a lot of time on your hands!
I liked this book and felt bad for Pearl when Lady's bodyguards kidnapped Lady. Dia is so sweet when he revealed that he knew Lady wasn't a tour guide and he didn't want there journey to end before it even started. It was really weird when Lady's bodyguards accused Pearl and Dia of kidnapping their 'client' when they took her from her friends then left her in a warehouse all by herself - she was unconscious as well. Great bodyguards. Let's leave the unconscious girl alone in the warehouse and go train her friends to protect her. Dr. Footstep was hilarious! Dragging the bad guys behind him while following a Weavile. They actually begged him to 'just take them to the cops already'.
I really am loving this series!!! Diamond and Pearl make a very good team together as Pearl is much more headstrong and prone angry outbursts, while Diamond is much more level-headed and friendlier with people. Lady Berlitz in the mean time is cool and graceful, and while she is spoiled, you can tell that her character is beginning to mature and appreciate the world a lot more. Also, Team Galactic is getting interesting with their team being possibly made up of Galactic Grunts who have no control over their own minds.
This was the big turnaround volume...secrets are revealed and the comedy duo of Diamond and Pearl realize they've bitten off more than they can chew by travelling with Lady Platinum Berlitz. (Oops...he name hasn't been revealed yet in the American version, but you guys guessed she was "Platinum", right?) Out of the D/P/Pt manga series, this is one of my favorite volumes.
So far, the character development has been very deep. The plot is also interesting, although it is modeled off of the Pokemon games. The author finds odd little ways to add different side plots that eventually connect back to the plot. The battles are also unique and the humor is priceless!
I was so mad my library didnt have vol two so i had to skip to three guess some one donated theses books which im gratefull for!! This vol was pretty good and funny too. Any fans of pokemon would love this manga!!
This series continues to be wonderful but in a series that just has so many awesome moments, the still wonderful moments make it lose stars. Standards are definitely high.
We're starting right away with weird Barbie legs on Maylene because apparently huge thigh gaps are supes important, bro. I know I keep going on about things like this, but the male gaze is a pet peeve of mine. I will keep pointing it out forever. So there! At any rate, Maylene can't help the way she's drawn and is still a kick butt martial artist despite all that.
Back to our main characters, the team gets sidetracked by
Quite a fun volume! First we hit Veilstone City, where Lady fights the Gym Leader. Well, and gets stuck in a casino, which had a nice follow through in the end!
Then, finally Diamond and Pearl meet Uji and Paka! This was fun, as the misunderstanding is revealed, and they have a big fight with Galactic grunts. During the fight, they combine attacks, and Tru and Chimler evolve into their final forms. Which feels rather fast, we're only on the 3rd volume, and the 3rd gym. I suppose this is mostly to hammer home the faster evolution rates when the starters are together, which has been established in the series a lot, but especially with how long this Arc is, it feels a bit fast. Also: Uji and Paka get blasted into the Distortion World! LEaving Dia and Pearl with a newfound will to protect lady. They don't explain to her the misunderstanding though, because thats not reasonable.Lady's Prinplup also evolves, via actual working out in the department store, which is funny. Finally, we reach the final segment of the Volume, where the trio arrive at a Battle Cafe of sorts, and get sidetracked by Dr. Footstep, who collects pokemon footsteps! I belive footsteps were new in the Gen 4 games, which is probably, why theres an entire character dedicated to footsteps. He's fun, and quite quirky! As the dex holders meet with him, they get blown away by a Hippowdon's sandstorm, and end up seperated. Dia and Lady face Scientists hired by Cyrus(The Team Galactic Leader) and Pearl and Dr. Footstep get picked up by a Staraptor. Dia shares with Lady a story about a mysterious light at Lake Verity, which he never told Pearl, but shares with her. And, later, at the end, a simialr light emits from Lake Valor. Pearl got dropped in the middle of the lake, which Dia points out and asks if Pearl saw it, which Pearl denies. Clearly, Pearl saw something similar to Dia, and just the same, doesn't tell his best friend. Which is interesting, as we should be familiar with the Lake trio that lives at the lakes. Last but not least, the group heads to the Safari Zone to catch a Grass type pokemon to face Crasher Wake with. The volume ends with them getting stuck in quicksand, and a Grass type about to eat them up. All in all, a fun volume, with multiple points of intruige, as well as some fun events. I'm very interested to see where the story goes after this.

I loved this one. I love Lady, she's quite a unique character, and so much fun. Pearl and Diamond's friendship is lots of fun, also quite hilarious. Definitely the best comedy duo. It was cool to see the interaction between the duo and bodyguards. Not quite how I imagined it would go.
This story seems to be moving too fast. The characters manage to evolve their starters and defeated the next gym without any problems? The interdimensional bomb led to some interesting character development.
Here, the Diamond and Pearl arc has finally hit its stride after two somewhat lackluster volumes. The added depth to relationships seen in this volume elevates it greatly above its two predecessors while offering a fresh yet authentic reflection of Sinnoh.
It finally feels like the story of the Diamond and Pearl games is starting to be told properly. Though it still packs in the fluff and filler that sometimes plagues the Adventures series.
Having been diverted from their intended path by Team Galaxy, our heroes venture on multiple side quests, learning more about Pokemon and themselves. Adventures include learning how to beat a gym leader by going to a casino, pokemon foot prints tell much much more than a fingerprint, and how to catch a wild pokemon.
This volume's a bit of a mess to be quiet honest. The pacing is off and the story doesn't flow well. An evolution happens off screen where a pokemon is suddenly just at another level for no reason and the only way you even know it is from the name card pages.
There are some entertaining and stunning moments though. Again, about the standard for this series. Something I wouldn't bother reading on my own, but it isn't excruciating to put up with.
