The Box in the Woods:
Amateur sleuth Stevie Bell needs a good murder. After catching a killer at her high school, she’s back at home for a normal (that means boring) summer. But then she gets a message from the owner of Sunny Pines, formerly known as Camp Wonder Falls—the site of the notorious unsolved case, the Box in the Woods Murders. Back in 1978, four camp counselors were killed in the woods outside of the town of Barlow Corners.

Truly Devious:
Ellingham Academy is a famous private school in Vermont for the brightest thinkers, inventors, and artists. It was founded by Albert Ellingham, an early twentieth century tycoon, who wanted to make a wonderful place full of riddles, twisting pathways, and gardens. “A place,” he said, “where learning is a game.”

The Vanishing Stair:
The Truly Devious case—an unsolved kidnapping and triple murder that rocked Ellingham Academy in 1936—has consumed Stevie for years. It’s the very reason she came to the academy. But then her classmate was murdered, and her parents quickly pull her out of school. For her safety, they say. She must move past this obsession with crime.

The Hand on the Wall:
Ellingham Academy must be cursed. Three people are now dead. One, a victim of either a prank gone wrong or a murder. Another, dead by misadventure. And now, an accident in Burlington has claimed another life. All three in the wrong place at the wrong time. All at the exact moment of Stevie’s greatest triumph... She knows who Truly Devious is.

I loved the first three books in this series! The Box in the Woods was very underwhelming. If you want to read this series, stick to the first three.

There is so much happening in this book series - they are best read in succession. I went back and re-read book 3 to get to Book 4 as it had been too long. They're long but well worth the read!

I enjoyed the series more than I expected to. Some of the narration was leading to me and at times jarred me out of the story, but overall it was very entertaining, and I will read the next book in the series.

THE BEST mystery series ever!!!
When I say the I had to fuck up my brain to think I fucked up my thinking! I spend hours into solving the conundrums without looking ahead and it was an amazing experience! The plot is incredible, the characters' love and passion towards each other makes me wanna meet them in real life! I read all three books in my mother language however the English version are at another level. I haven't read the fourth I might say I don't think i would I don't know why tho...
But it's amazing series if you are interested mystery and love !!

Truly devious i found was so hard to get into and was confusing at times, I didn’t really enjoy it much and i wouldn’t necessarily recommend it unless you like fantasy genre (but as i said it can get very confusing). The book had a okay plot but i wouldn’t want to read this series again, as i thought it wasn’t a good use of my time.
