When I turned on my ereader and found that this story--that I've been drooling about for weeks--was only 39 pages made me sad. I always want Devlin's stories to keep going, but I have to say she brought more to this story than some authors will ever achieve in an epic novel. I felt every emotion eating at her hero--who was much hot btw. The heroine reacted on her base needs and I cherished her more because of it. I will recommend this short read to anyone looking for a quick story that satisfies and exceeds every expectation. Oh, did I mention that I cried like a baby. So good!

Her Soul To Keep was a short novella that didn't make much sense at first. As it becomes clearer, a human woman has a vampire stalking her. In the long run it turns out the vampire is her husband and keeps removing her memories to protect her from the dark and dangerous world he involves himself in. In the end he wipes her memory again but forgets to remove the wedding band and it pretty much levels off from there.

My issue was, I'd be absolutely angry if this was me, it should be her choice, she should of been given a choice. The novella was well written despite being so short and although I don't agree with the moral standing of the book, it's definitely worth the read.

Sweet short story. I would like to find out more about Viper and what happened. But I love the premise that you can't erase the kind of love that they have.
