A Most Dangerous Lady

Rate this book
Another sexy Regency Romance from popular author Elizabeth Moss. Lord Trajan Randall is a rake and a whipster who holds women in contempt. Which is why Lady Caroline decides to teach him a lesson. A lesson the dashingly handsome Lord Randall will never forget. The Viscount does not believe in the "Petticoat Club", a legendary gang of women who take their revenge on rakes and noblemen like him. But all that is about to change. A Petticoat Club Regency romance novella from the popular author of THE EARL AND HIS TIGER and the infamous WOLF BRIDE.

I also write historicals as Victoria Lamb, romcoms as Beth Good, thrillers as Jane Holland, and NEW FOR 2016, doggy fiction as Hannah Coates, with a feel-good Christmas novel, BERTIE'S GIFT, out October 2016.

If you have enjoyed my Elizabeth Moss stories, why not try some of my other types of books? My #1 bestselling book is GIRL NUMBER ONE (did you see what I did there?) written under my real name Jane Holland. Do please give it a try if you like my other writing.

I always wanted to be a writer like my mum, Charlotte Lamb. Now I spend my life reading and writing, mostly historical romance but other books too. I live with my large family of noisy kids and animals in a rural corner of South-West England, where I'm a keen walker and gardener with VERY muddy boots. When not writing, I spend as much time as possible outdoors, often with my youngest kids, whom I enjoy home schooling.

A velvet-snouted creature?! Snicker. I actually did enjoy this sexy novella quite a bit, but I had to laugh at the term ‘velvet-snouted creature’ as it’s a new one for me. And I thought I’d read them all!

OK, now back to the story. For several years there has been talk of the 'petticoat gang', a gang of women that capture men and leave them in embarrassing situations, i.e. naked out on the street...etc. But Lord Randall firmly believes that is just a tale, concocted by men so they did not have to admit their actual activities of the evening. Then to his chagrin, he finds himself captured by a beautiful masked blonde lady wearing snug fitting breaches, and her allure may be his undoing.

Lady Caroline is not really the shy, demure and dowdy heiress as she lets the world believe. After Lord Randall declined to offer marriage to her years earlier, she decided marriage was not for her. But with his latest public taunt that the petticoat gang could not be real since women were solidly incapable of such strength and skill, she decides to prove him wrong.

This short 40-50 page story spins a sexy encounter between a captive and his masked capture, and offers up just enough spice to satisfy those looking for a quick steamy historical read. The ending was completely predictable, but who cares? I downloaded this one for free, so the price was well worth it.

There were a number of things in this short story that had me rolling my eyes, yet at a basic level, I enjoyed it. I think because I bought the emotions of the main characters.

This was a short but sweet book. The author offered this book as a free promotion. This review is my own opinion and not a paid review. Please Be aware that this review may contain spoilers.

While this is a very short book (51 pages) and can be read in under 30 minutes. I enjoyed it.

I liked how the author had Lady Caroline a wallflower with Lord Randell being a rake. Lady Caroline was anything but a wallflower. She was one head of the Petticoat Club.

The bunnies and I give this book 4-Carrots.

I enjoyed A Most Dangerous Lady. It had a twist in the plot that captivated and held my attention. It was naughty but not consistently so. Lady Caroline was a hoot. She deceived everyone. I reccomend this book.

Not bad for being (a) free; (b) a novella and (c) a historical romance. I enjoyed getting into this short story about a young woman who goes to new levels to get the man of her dreams.

Hahaha! I never really thought that I'd be enjoying this one.
I really like the heroine. She's like an exploding volcano. She knew what she wanted. Damn.
