I enjoyed reading the tale of Black Peter. The comic book form is something else and i loved following the clues to get the case solved. A must read.

This book was a quick read. The story in this one wasn’t as compelling or interesting as the story in ‘The Redheaded League.’ It suffers from the same issue as that book where they take a while to explain the crime, which is great, but then they speed through the solving of the crime, which is not so great.

Again a memorable short story, about the murder of a sea captain: Black Peter , who has been rightfully named , he was equally abusive to his family and crew
Its creepily atmospheric, with Holmes keeping us engaged through cleverly throughout trap , the red herrings, misdirections thrown into the story
It again layers in justice either morality
A good read

Another short story by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle about his famous detective.
Once again Sherlock Holmes is ask to assist to solve a mysterious case. The assigned detective made the wrong conclusion and Holmes showed that the wrong man was arrested - and presented the culprit.
A short mysterious crime story which is perfect in-between books.
3,5/5

This was a better mystery as it was more difficult to solve and had visual clues, not just dialogue. You would think that would be obvious for graphic novels.

These are great intros into the Canon graphic novel style! Very approachable for kids.

Another interesting mystery. This time involving a sea captain and harpoon. I'm resigned to never coming close to guessing/solving these mysteries.

No. 11 in this series of Sherlock Holmes stories in comic book format for young (2nd - 4th grade) readers. In this one, Holmes and Watson are called in to find out who murdered the cruel sea captain Black Peter. I highly recommend these for kids!

One of the better 'quick' Sherlock stories.
Not as thought through as Doyle's other novels, but a interesting read never the less.
Solving the case based on nautical clues and sailor related material was a neat twist.

A solid choice for younger comics and/or mystery fans.

Very approachable intro to Sherlock Holmes--clever way to introduce Holmes methods to younger readers and inspire observation.
