Hush Hush - 5 stars

Nora Grey is sixteen years old and she has a best friend, Vee. She meets Patch whom she has been paired with at school. She gets weird vibes from him. Nora's life seems to be in danger and she wonders who could be behind this.

I loved the first book in the series and fell in love with a fallen angel. Nora's character was good and I loved her friendship with Vee. Patch was great too.

Crescendo - 2.5 stars

I didn't like it as much as I wanted to. Both Nora and Patch became different characters. Overall it was more on the disappointing side. Not much was revealed in this.

Overall 3 stars rounded up.

Becca, I just love you to bits, girl. And I am sooo blaming you of the dark circles under my eyes. Most of the time I am skipping meals to finish the book. It's an unhealthy obsession.

Oh, Patch. You are still my number one book boyfriend.

Hush, Hush is my favorite series of all time right up to Finale. I saw this in the bookstore and I just have to get this. Yes, I am that obsessive, okay? I have a Hush, Hush addiction.

I mean, look at the cover.

And I'm falling for the fallen again. And now I'm just waiting for the book two of the graphic novel.

It took me literal years to finally get to this bind up collection. Honestly, I think I must have been between 13-15 years old when I got this. I sort of had to go in with a little of that mindset because this isn't the sort of novel I would go for on my current reading journey. Nevertheless, I needed to give Angel YA/paranormal romance fantasy another go, since by failed attempt at reading Fallen all those years ago and I'm happy to say I made it through 2 whole books!

Hush hush 3 stars
In our opening to Hush Hush, we actually meet our... assumed antagonist/ possible love interest first. It was a slightly confusing scene for me, but thankfully it didnt last too long and we were able to meet our main protagonist Nora, and her bestfriend Vee. Early on you know there's gonna be some sort of romance.
I don't fully understand how the romance grew so severely in the last few chapters. I can understand it on a situation sort of basis... more heightened emotions due to the circumstances, but I thought it would have been back to the usual tetchy, playful, denial we had for a lot of this, until we got to book 2, at least.
I'm glad it had more matters than just that. It was like a psychological thriller, mystery, fantasy, romance all in one and overall I was quite satisfied with what it gave me.
We had that irritating trope of sorts where the parents were miraculously out of the way when stuff happened but was never fully explained how characters got out of that Earthly sort of trouble.

I did find the pacing to be a bit crazy at times, like things regulated quickly at times.
I was fearing a love triangle but I'm glad there was more to it than I expected.
The funny thing is, although this was an okay read to pass the time I just couldn't stand Nora and Vee. I thought Vee was a terrible friend who never listened and Nora just annoyed me. Patch was the only character with some depth, and even he cringed me out a bit. Still, it was an entertaining read nevertheless.

Crescendo 2.5 stars
I found myself constantly rolling my eyes during this sequel and really took my dislike of the main character, Nora, to a whole new level. She overreacted a lot didn't listen and was a bloody idiot.
I found myself getting through this quicker than the first ones but I found it more irritating, which is an odd combination. Yet, I couldn't deny how addicting it was to read.
There were some funny and unexpected scenes but I found that everything just escalated far too fast; the hatred to lust in the first book, followed by lust to love to hate in this book. It was just too overwhelming and not developed enough for me. Vee wasn't much help and I found her encouraging dangerous behaviour to be the signs of a bad friend.
That plot twists were certainly unexpected but I've got to say, the whole plot just felt like random scenes mooshed together and the reactions and shifts between characters like Nora, Patch and Scott was just way to random and confusing most of the time.

Pick it up, give it a go and enjoy! >(^_^)<

Nora en ciertos momentos es una adolescente en toda la extensión de la palabra, por lo que me desesperaba, pero lo mejor de los libros fue el personaje de Scott.

Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush #1) - 4 stars

To tell the truth the thing that actually got me to pick up this book and read it was the cover. It was simply gorgeous!

I originally disliked the main character, Nora, when we first met her, she is weak. I found her to be completely childish but in the end I saw her true character shine through making me like her a little more. She is stubborn and more than a little pushy but everyone has negative flaws to their character. The main issue I had her is that she is not a strong female lead; she needs Patch to save her and help her. I am seriously hoping this changes in the next couple books.

Patch was a character more to my liking. His brooding and mysterious attitude, albeit kind of cocky and overconfident, pulled me in right away.

I think the romance aspect of the book was underdeveloped and I was expecting more out of it. But when it was in the mix it was cute and exactly what I was looking for in a YA book.

Crescendo (Hush, Hush #2) - 3 stars
I did find the story entertaining with the progression of the facts. Other than that the story did not really do anything for me. This book did not intrigue as much as the first one. I felt myself just being annoyed with all of the characters. Nora was her usual whiny self with an annoying attitude and self-serving attitude. Patch just pissed me off from the beginning I wanted to ok his reasons but he was just a jerk throughout everything. No one communicates with one another and they all just make everything worse for everyone in the long run. If patch and Nora would actually talk to each other many of their problems really wouldn't be an issue.
