Three books I have waited for Cora to grow up. To not act impulsively. To realize that her foolishness has real consequences. To recognize that there is strength in letting people in. Instead I watch as her friends cave to her toxicity. She rails against everything as though she knows best but hasn’t listened to anyone who actually DOES know more. She draws terrible conclusions. She doesn’t value her friendships - oh she says she does but her actions speak louder than words. If I hadn’t already invested this time…I wouldn’t read the final book. It’s bad when you wish the main character gets so badly hurt or loses someone close to them that it wises them up….seriously, stop making female characters that act like petulant 3 year olds.
This could easily be a 4 or 5 star book, if only an editor was brought in. The grammar almost killed it for me. Missing and added words. Here instead of hear. If these were fixed, it would be so much better. Please bring in an editor for the last book!
For my clean readers: violence-witchcraft, attempted murder, sacrifice, etc. Romance-kissing. Language- some, but no f-bomb.
This series is getting more intense with each book. Enemies are multiplying and our group is running out of safe places to seek allies. I'm on to the next book.
