This story is a blast! I’m a huge character reader meaning that I enjoy books where the character is active, has a strong voice, and a person that I can root for. Cora hits all of those marks and more.

Not only is Cora strong, sympathetic, and interesting, but she’s funny too! Sarcasm and witty responses keep the the tension in this story light and fun but the action keeps going and the mystery behind it will keep you guessing.

Cora was a regular foster girl, until, you know, a freaking PORTAL opens up and when a creepy man attacks her and some strangers whisk her away. Cora finds herself at a witch school where her true family history has hidden all this time. Unfortunately, it’s not all good history and Cora is a target.

A Witch in Blood has it all:
Magical school ✅
Enemies to lovers ✅
Murder mystery ✅
Portals ✅
Fun female friendships ✅

I can’t wait for the next in the series!

Loved book one and can’t wait for the next one! This is a strong start to a series and I am so invested in Cora’s journey in this magical world. If you like sassy heroines, warrior love interests, and a magical academy with all sorts of magical mishaps, you’ll love A Witch in Blood.

Super YA, writing was good enough you forgot you were reading YA, then author reminded us of the characters age in telling and actions..extremely clean in actions and written words as in no cursing….but it hits the tropes hard…unfortunately too much..I lost interest after the misunderstanding trope leaped on the page….15 or 16 year olds would love this drama.

Despite the glaring grammar mistakes, this is a pretty good read. Reminiscent of Harry Potter and the Ren Crown series by Anne Zoelle. With a good clean up-reducing the granmar mistakes and the character inconsistencies-this would be a 4 star book.

For my clean readers: language-no f-bomb, though. Lots of violence-including some demonic actions, murder, blood rights, etc. Romance-one kiss.

A good academy book. Some of the tropes are there but a lot aren't which I really appreciate.
Cora is a likable character. I'm a bit confused about what happened at the end, but hopefully I'll understand as I keep reading the series.

The MC is a bitch and liar and near the end of the book I thought things would get better but no they did not, so I looked up the next few in the series and it looks she all she does is get worse so I’m done reading this trash

Great book to read!

It held my interest the entire time, and the plot and climax were really good! It's definitely a good book to read!

Cool

I really liked this story. I enjoyed the characters and the story line. The twist in the mystery really surprised me too. I'll be getting the next one right away.
