Obie wyruszają w drogę tego samego dnia i zupełnym przypadkiem spotykają się w pociągu. Niedługo potem los – lub kolejny przypadek – sprawia, że te dwie dziewczyny o kompletnie odmiennych charakterach i z całkiem różnych środowisk lądują w tym samym mieszkaniu.

About the author

Ai Yazawa (Japanese: 矢沢あい, Yazawa Ai) is a Japanese manga author and illustrator. Her pen name comes from singer Eikichi Yazawa, of whom she is a fan.
Yazawa started her comics career in 1985. She specialises in shojo manga (girls' comics). Most of her works have been serialised in the magazines 'Ribon', 'Cookie' and 'Zipper'.
Yazawa's stories focus on young, often rebellious women and their relationships. The characters are always very stylish, and Yazawa herself is known for her sense of fashion. (She even attended a fashion school for some time after high school.)
Among her most famous manga are Tenshi Nanka Ja Nai (I'm No Angel, 1992–1995), Neighborhood Story (1995-1998), Paradise Kiss (1999-2004), and Nana (2000-2009), the latter awarded a Shogakukan Manga Award in 2003. Some of these works have been adapted into anime and live action movies.

Kocham Nanę całym sercem i każdy tom mogę ocenić automatycznie na pięć gwiazdek. Jeden z najważniejszych dla mnie tytułów, nie przyjmuję żadnych słów krytyki pod jego adresem, czytanie tej historii od początku z wiedzą na temat tego, co dzieje się później łamie mi serce na małe kawałeczki.

Czytanie tego po polsku jest jak spełnienie marzeń. Zanurzenie się w tej historii jest jak bycie w domu. Najgorsze, że dopiero zacznie się dramat. 4.25⭐, ponieważ jakoś muszę stopniować te tomy jakością.

To moja pierwsza manga, bawiłam się świetnie.
Jeju ta historia jest niesamowicie wciągająca.
Straszne mnie interesują dalsze losy bohaterek i gdyby nie była taka droga to już teraz kupiłabym drugi tom.
Jeśli chodzi o wady to, nie lubię wstawek które przełamują czwartą ścianę, a raczej, lubię, ale nie w taki sposób jaki był w tej mandze? Nie wiem, możliwe ze to uniwersalne w mangach… ale to w sumie nie było cos co straszne mi się nie podobało i zepsuło mi odbiór.
I to oficjalne: to nie jest bezpieczne miejsce dla hejterów nany. Ktoś mógłby zarzucić, że postać Hachi jest strasznie infantylna i być może nawet nierealistyczna w pewnych momentach? Co jest odrazu widoczne, no tylko ktoś lekko rozumny by tego nie zauważył… Leczy myślę, że ten kontrast między bohaterkami dzięki temu jest jeszcze bardziej ciekawy.
Zastanawiam się czy następne tomy będą tak samo dobre i nie będzie tendencji spadkowej, bo ich ilość… no jest ich troche

This is one of the best selling shojo manga series out there so I’m the problem, it’s me and I’m conflicted 🫣

I didn’t know anything about this series before reading this first volume and I was sort of expecting it to be general ‘two polar opposite girls are roommates and living in Tokyo - hijinks ensue’ story (which, in part, it is) so I was quite surprised to feel this overwhelming sadness running through the baseline of the narrative and it was a nice surprise to be honest. I also adored the fashion and outfits the characters were wearing throughout this volume and I loved Nana O and her interactions with Nana K. I really enjoyed the chapter where they were looking for furniture for their flat and I looked forward to seeing them interact and bounce off each other. They were two characters that worked really well together!

I think this is where my mixed feelings come in because I only started to enjoy the book and want to actually pick up and read the volume in the last 50 pages where the two Nana’s were spending more time together. The first 300 pages felt like a real slog to get through. It wasn’t boring to read per se, a lot happened and it was good to get to know each Nana individually before the two meet, but I didn’t find any of it very engaging. It’s possibly because we spend a lot of time with Nana K who I personally didn’t love as a character. I know she’s traumatised and is a victim in all this but she was a lot of work to read later on in the volume and I didn’t gel with her vapidity, shallowness and how hyperactive she was but I assume she’ll mature over the course of the story.

It feels bad because I really wanted to love this! 😖 As I enjoyed how this volume ended, I’ll give the second volume a try at some point for sure, I won’t give up on it yet as I love Nana O’s character a ton!

Styl mangi, mimo iż każda postać jest bardzo chudziutka i ma takie patyczkowe ciało, jest bardzo ciekawy i ikoniczny. O "Nanie" słyszałam już wcześniej, ale nigdy nie oglądałam ani anime, ani nie czytałam mangi po angielsku – gdy tylko dowiedziałam się, że seria będzie wydana po polsku, stwierdziłam, że najpierw muszę ją przeczytać. Dlatego czekam na więcej!

I’ve put off reading or watching Nana for years in hopes to wait for the series to finish being written, but once I saw the 25th Anniversary copy up for grabs I had to dive in. I absolutely loved every second of this book, I love the contrast between the Nana’s and I loved the side characters. The art style is beautiful, the pace and flow of the story is perfect. I haven’t read Nana before but reading the first volume felt like a warm hug and nostalgic. I felt each emotion the Nana’s experienced and teared up a few times myself. I am so excited to read the rest of the series!!

W sumie nie czytam obyczajówek o życiu i trochę trudno mi zdecydować czy lubię czy nie. Ale po pierwszym tomie dam szansę drugiemu. Trochę dużo romansowania ale to taki gatunek. Mam nadzieję że będzie ciekawiej.

Pierwsza manga (czytałam 2), która mi się spodobała, mimo że na początku ciężko było mi się przyzwyczaić do czytania od drugiej strony. Same Nany przypominają mi moją relację z O.K., co jest urocze. Na pewno będę czytać dalej.

I am closer now to 30 than 20. However, our Nanas resonate with me. The person I was. The person I still am sometimes and the person I am trying hard to be. Enjoyed it, which is new since Shoujo isn't normally my coup of tea. Intense, intriguing and emotional.
