This is a big anthology of twenty-one original vampire stories. It was published by World of Darkness/White Wolf, but the stories aren't related to any particular game. There are some run-of-the-mill stories, a couple of dreadful ones, and a handful of really good ones. My favorites were by Esther M. Freisner, Caitlin R. Kiernan, and especially Robert J. Sawyer, who is not the kind of writer you'd think would produce an excellent vampire fantasy, but there you go. The elephant in the room is the editor, who has been at the center of legal attention for despicable misconduct with children for decades, but that's not the fault of the stories that the individual authors placed with him prior to those events coming to light.

The only two stories that I found memorable are Peking Man, which I thought was very creative and interesting, and Brimstone and Salt, which I thought was terrible. If you like vampire stories and have an opportunity to buy this for less than a dollar go for it, otherwise avoid it.
