Taylor Michaels and Doug Henshaw are two men who happen to meet at an ordinary public house. It would be like any other relationship except Taylor is a barman and Doug is a werewolf.
After having sponteanous intercourse, Taylor and Doug feel a strange connection to each other. It's only when Doug admits he has found his mate in Taylor do things begin to make sense.
Taylor is cautious of their new connection at first, and his choice isn't made easy by sex starved vampires, predujiced alpha werewolves and a best friend with a firm opinion of right and wrong.
Can Taylor and Doug ever be together, or were they mated by mistake?
*This edition includes the original three original stories this book was based upon. Guided, Foretold and Endangered.*
My name is Calvin, and I'm here mainly to share the books I have written to a wider audience. I write under a pseudonym, because it's important to keep reality and fantasy separate. No matter how much fun fantasy can be.
Hope you enjoy my stories as much as I have enjoyed writing them.

An Enthusiastic, though inexperienced writer
This was initially published in 2011 on a self-publishing platform and according to the author’s bio in the edition that I read, he describes himself as a “twenty-something.”
The good: There is a quality of enthusiasm and exuberance for writing and story-telling that comes through from the author that is charming and pleasing.
The not So Good:
1) Poor editing: I’m a lot more forgiving of minor typos than a lot of folks are. In this book, the issues were problematic for me. I saw use of the word “of” for off, misuse of words that showed a lack of understanding of its definition. I’m tolerant of a few minor typos, but use of a word without knowledge of its definition is very, very bad and amateurish.
2) author needs to develop skill in creating a believable connection between the MCs. Simply having the MCs say they are boyfriends, or saying they “love” each other does not mean that the connection is believable.
3) There is nothing new in this werewolf and human mate story for M/M Romance shifter story-lovers.
I think this author needs to keep working at his writing and and ideas for stories, if this is something that he wishes to do.
His enthusiasm was fun and if he has written anything between 2011 when this was published, and more recent times, I’d be interested to see how he has progressed.
This tale is essentially identical to but I cannot determine which is supposed to be the revision as the publishing dates give no hint.
---------------------------------
The author is young, probably inexperienced so I do not want to sound disparaging.
A good story is there. It is hardly new, the usual human that for mysterious reasons is confronted with an unexpected world full of all the supernatural beings ever conceived in recent times in fantasy fiction and manages to get love and respect out of many of them, but it is there. There is also a raw ability to tell the story, to involve the reader.
Everything else is lacking. Grammar is a bit shaky, the plot is full of twists that are inexpected but not in a good way, meaning they are unreasonable and or inconsistent and or hurried. Characterization is shallow and, again, inconsistent. Settings that could be made much of (the seedy sex place where the lead meets the evil vampire) are neglected while some unnecessary details are given. The love story is also rushed, which is very much of a problem in a M/M fantasy romance.
This short story could work as a draft but it needs many more pages, better pacing and a thorough editing.
