Higland Heat by Sasha White is an erotic romance with a bit of menage thrown in. Not your sterotypical menage from the get go, this one involves a man trapped for 300 years in a crystal ball by a witch; a doctor who loves his wife, but is unable to give her all she needs sexually, and a wife who is in love with two men.
Dougal is a Scottish, dark haired man, with much to learn about modern day. He's been in love with his neighbor's wife since he moved in to the apartment next to them about 4 months ago. He wants her, not just sexually, but for always.
John is the Doctor who has loved his wife since they were very young. Even when he left to go to Medical School, he knew he'd go back to their town and marry her. He tries to give her all she needs and wants, but there are some things he just cannot give her, like the domiance she craves in the bedroom so much.
Kathryn is the woman in the middle. In love with her husband, and drawn to Dougal, she is despearte to get him to notice her. Working in her favor, is her husband's kink for watching. This feeds his voyer side and thankfully, he too wants Dougal to be with them.
I very much enjoyed this read. It's a short, hot, erotic tale of one woman and two men. The lengths that John and Kathyrn go to in order to seduce Dougal are really quite amusing and also endearing. Both truly want him to be part of their life, even when Dougal reveals a secret known only by a select few. We the readers know the secret, but watching it unfold for the characters is enjoyable.
I like how well Sasha is able to give us quite a bit of insight within the short 39 pages of this story. The only problem I had was reading the “Scottish brouge” when Dougal was only thinking, not speaking. I kept missreading wouldna as wouldn't. Otherwise, this story is quite good, and once you realize that little quirk, it's easy to read.
I don't usually do the star system, but for Amazon and others who do, I give this a 4 star. (Actually, if I could, it would be 4 ½)

Oh goodness do I love an alpha male with a scottish accent. This hot little tale about a man dying to reclaim his reincarnated wife and a married couple looking to expand their relationship was right up my alley. And the paranormal element created the perfect tension to an already smoking hot story. It's not easy packing good characters, a plot and steamy sex into a novella, but Ms. White did it with ease.

Highland heat is about a scottish warrior released in our world losing his love of his life with age. He see's her in his new friends wife. As he fights his way of life, she starts to seduce him.
You could feel the fight of controlling himself as she begs for him to take her as rough and hard as possible. I truelly enjoy the rollarcoaster of raw emotiones as you didve into this world of love and lust.

This one gets 4 stars instead of 3.5 just because it made me smile a few times, and I'd rather round this one up, rather than down. The plot is very transparent, but this was a free novella that was just fun to read as the main couple tried to seduce the somewhat dense next door neighbor. I enjoyed the book, although its only good for one read thru. The review would be a lot different if I had to pay for the book- but for free fun, it was okay!

Dougal MacNeil is finally free from the curse that had him trapped in a crystal for 300 years. He is coping with modern life as best he can, until he gets propositioned by his married neighbors. Now he must reconcile his old world ways with the present day ways. What will he decide to do? You'll have to read it to find out

Read the excerpt, had to read the rest! Highland Heat is another Sasha White story that is great. I like her longer ones better but all her stories are hot and steamy and very enjoyable.
