Victoria picked this (and many other) book out for Ethan in the pursuit of his reading merit badge. I have been very slow to adapt the graphic novel into my "what I read" repertoire, despite having spent an entire day last summer in the Vancouver Art Museum at an extensive exhibit to the graphic and anime art forms trying to understand it's magnificence, even bought a couple of books after reading through dozens, and it just didn't take. Everyone else in my house read these (The Dark Knight, Watchman, and Fun Home) but I couldn't get into it. It turns out maybe I started at too high a reading level, because I really enjoyed this--a sort of Horrible Histories approach to history, with a time machine thrown in for good measure, but there are alot of good pieces of history, information, and perspective all thrown in here is a very light format.
