When Abby Murphy returns home to Cuttersville, it’s to buy back her grandmother’s house that was sold… and to meet the man she is convinced is destined to be her future husband. Being a psychic gives her that crystal ball advantage and she’s seen the face of the man she’s going to marry since she was seventeen. In the years since her first vision, she has spent many a night inserting herself into his dreams in some very sexy ways. So imagine her surprise when she discovers that her destiny lies with the man she can’t stand, the man who bought her grandmother’s house, the skeptic ghost hunter, Darius Damiano.
But sometimes reality can be even better than dreams…
Read about Abby’s sisters Charlotte and Bree in the anthologies An Enchanted Season and The Magical Christmas Cat.
USA Today and New York Times Bestselling author Erin McCarthy sold her first book in 2002 and has since written over a hundred novels and novellas in teen fiction, new adult, and adult romance. Erin has a special weakness for high-heeled boots, beaches and martinis. She lives in Ohio with her family, two grumpy cats and a socially awkward dog.
Rating 3.5 stars A short & cute novella. The heroine is a witch who has been dreaming of her husband for years but he turns out to be the man who bought her grandmother's house and is kind of a non-believer. I found the book quirky and may check out the stories of the other two sisters.
Darius met his destiny when she was thirteen and he was on a ghost tour as she announced that he was not getting the house. Taken aback he thinks her odd.
Abby has returned to reclaim her grandmother’s home and to find the man she’s convinced is predestined to be her husband. Now that he’s met the witch/psychic/dream infiltrator since she couldn’t pick just one title, she had to be greedy and go for three.
Abby declares she’s squatting unless he sells his house (originally her grandmother’s) back to her.
There is a year’s separation during which he finally comes to his senses having since dismissed him from her life and resigned that he isn’t the one for her.
He shows up a year after their encounters with a deed to the house declaring his love, all is forgiven. The End.

This just fell so flat. I am so disappointed. I loved the other two Christmas novellas so much. Abby didn't even make Damian work for it - at all! He screws her sister out of her house and then she let's him screw her with barely a "hello, nice to meet you?" Ugh.
This didn’t quite go as I had expected. Where the previous two Cuttersville novellas and Murphy sisters featured a kind of slow seduction, Abby was incredibly gun-ho. She also got twisted up and confused far more than either of her sisters, and it ultimately took a lot more to get to her happy ending.
Like the other novellas I have read so far (the novels in the Cuttersville series have only just arrived on my doorstep), this story left me with a happy, contented smile on my face. It was simple, it was cute and it didn’t involve a lot of in depth thinking. The slight snags along the way weren’t completely unexpected, and they weren’t so intense that you didn’t think you’d eventually get your happy ending anyway. I honestly just love the simplicity of stories like this, and I can’t wait to go back to the beginning of the series and sink my teeth into A Date with the Other Side.
The Murphy Sisters Trilogy are only short novellas, but I have enjoyed each and every one of them. Please read them in order, that way you don't spoil anything for yourself.
This is Abigail's story. Abigail, or Abby, is the youngest Murphy sister and her witch-y power is being a psychic. She can also invade someone's dreams. She has been dreaming about her future husband for a long time. However, he turns out to be Darius Damiano, the very guy who bought the Murphy family home out from under them. It is Christmas and Abby is determined to get her home back. Knowing her future husband is Darius is both painful and exhilarating. Their relationship starts out as purely physical, and Darius still acts the part of a jerk. It's not until the end where Abby realizes she has to end the relationship. A year passes, the following Christmas Darius is finally able to make amends with Abby. He starts out by signing the home over to her.

The 3rd Murphy sister witch., Abby's story. Only available on Kindle, it took me forever to get to read it. Wasn't as good as it could have been.
Darius is as big a jerk as he was in Bree's story. He treats Abby like crap. It's OK to want her & have sex with her, but nothing else. I especially hated it when he calls the cops ( Abby's brother-in-law) & threatens her with breaking & entering. What a pussy! Abby pretty much bends over backwards to please him. Not as satisfying as I thought it would be.
Abby's Christmas Spirit by Erin McCarthy is a fairly short read, a perfect choice for those with limited time for reading. Ms McCarthy has filled this book with great characters, humor, drama and a paranormal twist. This book is a totally fun read. I enjoyed Abby's Christmas Spirit and look forward to reading more from Erin McCarthy in the future. Abby's Christmas Spirit is book 3 of the Murphy Sisters Series but can easily be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger. I voluntarily reviewed an InstaFreebie Copy of this book.
I really love McCarthy and I have thoroughly enjoyed the Murphy Sisters' stories. I don't know what it is, but I really love Christmas stories, no matter what time of the year it is and this series does that really well. Abby's is the perfect end to the trilogy, though I kinda had issues thinking of her as an adult since she wasn't in the other ones. But I really liked her relationship with Damion.
I bought this (without having an e-reader) as I really enjoyed the stories of the first two Murphy sisters. It was a very enjoyable read. I noticed a number of typos and the like and it seemed a bit more frequent than I was used to from her printed books. I liked both Abby and the male character, a light, short, distracting story as hoped for.
I loved the first two books in this mini series. Erin is a fantastic author!
Like many books, this one isn't without typo errors, but I didn't mind them because I adored the story. Each one in this series, and I have to say, I'm a little bummed it's over.
Thank goodness Erin has other books I can read! Please check out the first two in this series! Totally worth it.
2.5 stars. Was enjoying the story up until the end. Didn't think the long separation of the h/h was necessary. Have enjoyed the previous two sister's stories and enjoyed catching up with them, but felt this story wasn't as romantic, very rushed, and as stated previously, not a great ending.
