Beck's plan is a simple one: stay up too late, and then accidentally-on-purpose fall asleep on the couch so his dad will have to carry him to bed and Beck can get some of those sweet, gentle moments his father used to bestow on him.
Everything goes wrong when his dad brings home a woman. To Beck's relief though, she leaves while his father is busy in the restroom.
But Beck's curls look the same in the dark as the woman's, and as Beck finds out, his mouth can be just as welcoming too…
Daddy Dearest is a 4k short that features non and dubcon, mistaken identity, and rough oral sex.
It happened so fast Beck didn’t even protest, his utter surprise silencing him. Because his dad was naked. Naked and suddenly on top of him.
I, ummmm… don’t know how to rate this one. Too rough, too uncomfortable. I ‘liked’ the premise, the mistaken identity angle, the wrongness. But it was way too rough. Too much non-con, not enough dub-con. I’m blabbering. No rating.
CW and tropes (spoilers): - Incest (father/son) - Non-con & dub-con - Mistaken identity - Rough oral sex - Virgin MC - No HEA
o dear lord... well this was a free teaser.. so its. a first that I miss plot..even though we don't really read it for the plot.. but ill have to see if I'm willing to read family affair to see what happens...
I'm in Scotland on vacation right now but still managed to read this the moment I got an email for this release. 🫡 I hope there will be more to this story!
I'm not sure what was supposed to happen here but this was kind of weird. It's a forced oral with just enough background to explain the taboo set up and it was honestly kind of weird to read. Again, it's well written because D. Dove is a talented writer but I didn't enjoy this and that has nothing to do with the content. (Again, I'm the freak who read the dog books and liked them). It's just an odd story with a lot of exposition. It honestly feels like there is supposed to be a part two and maybe there will be but as is it feels kind of incomplete and kind of upsetting. Which was weird because this isn't the first time I've read noncon from this author but it is the first time it left me feeling a little uncomfortable. I'm not taking enough points for that cuz that's a personal issue but I think it is worth noting because the other books if you squint or tilt your head enough you could say it's an HEA. This one, not at all. 2.5 stars but I'm rounding up because I'm noticing are rating this low because of the content despite the fact that there are trigger warnings and content warnings. If you still choose to read it, whose fault is that?
Beck finds himself in an awkward position when his drunk dad mistakes him for the date be brought home in the pitch black room and ends up deep throat fucking him.
This was a dirty little ditty. Got it for free on Smashwords. I didn't realize it was a prequel so oops!
A combination of several things made this a believable scenario: 1) the dad was really drunk, 2) the room was pitch black dark, 3) the woman also had short curly hair, 4) they were doing a D/s hookup with no safe words, and 5) poor Beck couldn't get a word in edgewise with the dick constantly being shoved down his throat.
It was rather hot. I felt bad for Beck and I'm desperate to know what happens next. But why oh why does a 130 (or so) page story have to be over $4! That's too much to charge. I don't know if I'll read it or not. I'm very curious, but I think it's overpriced for the length of it.

Daddy Dearest by D Dove is a Six Dove scorcher (if you know, you know).
A taboo, no-HEA short that dives headfirst into the dark and depraved.
This is non-con with a brutal twist of mistaken identity, where Beck becomes nothing more than a mouth in the shadows, used, discarded, and left questioning everything.
It’s short. It’s twisted. It’s unapologetically spicy. The perfect palate cleanser when you need to shake off the emotional wreckage of your last read and dive into something deliciously unhinged.
Vibes: Taboo Father/son cest Non-con No HEA High spice Mistaken identity
This is my first taste from this author and was completely NOT what I was expecting to happen in the book. I didn’t know about the Dove scale so I highly suggest you check the website for the scale.
I liked the story even though I didn’t like that there’s no HEA or even HFN. I do agree this needs to be continued and hopefully end with Beck being happy.
Highly recommend if you like these kinds of things.
Definitely going to be checking out the other books.
I... I don't know if I'm strong enough to rate this. It was what it said it was tho, so kudos to that. The writing is simple, but I guess that it's okay with this type of story. I think I need to read the second one to get a full picture, but I am definitely too horrified to do so rn.
(I read fanfics with similar trophes and I didn't particularly like them, but I also didn't particularly dislike them, so I took it upon myself to widen my horizons and here we are)
Whew boy. This was not for me. It's basically one scene of non-con/dub-con.
The premise is really interesting, and it had potential, but the dad was just too rough. Beck was literally pushing on his dad to stop. I was interested to read the sequel after finishing this but after reading the sequel, I've concluded I really don't like this one.
Very dark short story. There is no HEA and no closure. Not much in the way of plot outside of mistaken identity and Beck's want to be his dad's #1 again. Please check CWs.

Llegué sin saber del todo qué encontraría y terminé feliz. Claro, es un relato corto que te quedas a medias pero es suficiente para saber que es un buen autor.
Upgraded to 4 stars (from prior 3) after reading part 2 Family Affair which was a sizzling 5 star read! The two together... WOW! My prior review after only reading book one (this book) is still below too. I waited some time, but am now working my way through Dove's books and saw that book 2 was quite a bit longer and was curious. Glad I decided to read it! Fabulous smutty series!
Original 3 star review.... Father and son - mistaken identity on the father's part / son knows This wasn't terrible - has potential - but was very short and ends on a cliff hanger so must read the next book to see what happens. I'd say this is more of a prologue or intro. To move on and read more? Unsure
Oh I felt so bad for the MC here. It's a short one, but the punch is effective. D. Dove is really good at whump. I'm glad there's a sequel, definitely will be reading it soon.
