Rate this book
Vanier's presentation clearly and succinctly reveals Lacan's final effort to mold his theory in a formal language, as well as Lacan's wish to refind and redefine the place of the father in the becoming of the human and in the functioning of society. The very quickness of the presentation avoids reductionism while rendering vivid and exciting the landmarks of Lacan's thought.

Really really bad structure. It's like the author had some notes about Lacan concepts and then dumped the notes in a book. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone
