Very unique story, another one of those where Harry and Draco start to fall for each other without knowing who the other really is. Harry is an Unspeakable, spends most of his time disguised as someone else. Draco is now a philanthropist and social butterfly, but that's not all he is.

Harry finds himself falling for his handler, Rabbit, even though he and Rabbit don't know who they are under the polyjuice. Then Rabbit learns who Harry really is, but refuses to tell who he is.

In the midst of all this, Harry runs into Draco again, and they form first, a sexual relationship, that slowly turns to more, even though Harry loves Rabbit and feels guilty for the time he spends with Draco, even though nothing is really going on with Rabbit.

I did find Harry to be a bit dense in this one. The clues on who Rabbit really was were dropping like anvils (grey eyes? seriously, how many people do you meet with grey eyes?), but Harry didn't get it until very late in the story. Then after the reveal, I thought the ending was a bit rushed, I wanted more time with the guys as who they were, admitting all their feels for each other. All in all though, this was a very interesting, well written fic.

Started reading this sometime last month around Xmas time before my kindle errored out and cut off the story. So this had an intriguing enough premise to come back to and I'm both glad I did and also a little underwhelmed in parts.

And that's about as much as I feel like writing for this story, here's a quote:
“For the last time, I’m not polishing his broomstick.”

“Though it sounded as if you might like to.”

“Wanker.”

Fascinating and delightful Drarry-as-spies story. Parts of this felt very much James Bond/Jason Bourne-ish, and it was fantastically fun to read.

Unspeakables in this fic are basically spies, and to keep themselves safe they're constantly polyjuiced, even among themselves. Harry's only had one handler so far, and the story starts with him meeting his second one, Rabbit.

Harry and Rabbit only ever interact while polyjuiced, but Harry's famous enough that Rabbit's able to guess his identity when Harry does something during a mission that only Harry Potter could do. Things continue one-sided, with Rabbit knowing who Harry is, but Harry only knowing Rabbit as Rabbit.

Meanwhile, in Harry's real life, Draco Malfoy is showing up more and more frequently and making increasingly unexpected requests.

Very fun.

Favorite Quotes:
But Harry was the best, really. Not at modesty, but at everything else, he was the best.

"Also," said Rabbit, "if you ever pull that shit again, I will kill you dead."

I found this really surprisingly good, I loved the undercover thing, I like the idea of Harry not suited to an unadventurous life...
I also loved how he fell in love, and even though the twist is obvious to us the author does a good job of not making it seem ,like it should be obvious to him. Or anyway, it didn't make me go 'you idiot, you idiot' like they often do.

I liked the idea and it was quite interesting to see how it would all come together in the end. It was confusing at times, but there's an explanation, too... though I have to say it did feel a little too much like one. I would've liked it if the showdown had been described a little different (not as flashback, mainly). Generally, I enjoyed the story, but I wasn't 100% convinced by it.

The dialogue was at times a little overdone, but overall strong writing and characterization and a great read. The thing that I could not accept was the crossing of the line between Oblivious!Harry into Dumb!Harry. That line needs to be straddled as carefully as that first time Harry trips over Draco and they end up in an awkward position.

Well, it was definitely a journey…

I’ve never commented/highlighted the book so much. It was shredding my heart and magically healing it in the same time. I was about halfway through when I realized it was going to be 5 star one.

One of the best drarry fanfiction ever, at least in my life, and I’ve read enough

Hot damn I loved this story. The dramatic irony, the intrigue, the lust drenched romance - all very good stuff.

I also really enjoy Harry portrayed as a bit of an idiot, and Draco as very very smart, actually.

Really confusing towards the end there, but the rest of it was a fun ride.
I love some good secret identities, although this story was a bit more on the depressing side than the thrilling side.

Loved it, as I love all of Lettered's writing. Beautiful language, lovely conflicted subtext between Malfoy and Rabbit, and the usual self-hatred Malfoy has for himself. Very beautiful.

Amazing and imaginative Drarry fanfic. Harry and Draco are spies working together under aliases and using polyjuice potion so neither knows who the other is. There is so much yearning and desperation in this story as the two work together, depend on and respect each other and fall in love. But regulations prevent them from revealing their true identities.
