This entry was not as good as the previous ones. The story dragged and did not really ever pick up like it should. I know there is a sense of urgency but I could not feel it while I was reading. The characters seemed so lost that it was almost pointless to continue, but I did. I got so hung up on a word mistake, rouge instead of rogue that it annoyed me throughout. Then I Started to look for all the extra words and off grammar, it kept me occupied. ;)
OK, you can read it but do not expect a lot from this one and look for the next entry.
Yeah. No. This was all so stupid. This whole crazy super high tech thing that is going on is just way too out there. Which is saying something, since this is about a zombie apocalypse.
The characters are too annoying and naive.
I dunno what happened. The first book was seriously so good. And now... this. Damn.
I just love these books so much. It is well worth reading the entire series at this point. I’m not stopping anytime soon lol. Highly recommended to everyone
Whilst the first book was okay, and the 2nd.. this just hasn’t hit the mark. The protagonist seems to have left her brain cells in the first book, constantly questioning everything,
A specific scene comes to mind -
"It’s not a frag grenade. It’s an EMP grenade." "A what?" "Electromagnetic pulse grenade," he said as he handed it to me. "If you see black smoke, pull the pin and throw it." "Throw it where?" "You gotta be kidding me? Throw it at the black smoke!”
Always repeating the same plans x3 in the same chapter even though their plans were already confirmed and understood
Nano technology making metal come to life? Zombies mutating into hulk gorillas? Every time the protagonist gets a weapon she just *so happens* to drop it every time? Wanting readers to think she & Kenji are in *love* but only share a few sentences in the whole book & 0 chemistry?
I was looking forward to a decent ZPoc book set in Australia & instead got some weird sci-fi futuristic thing.

Very good, had me staying up most of the night to finish it... But, I'm a big zombie fan... The author has a way of making the characters very real and easy to identify with. The concepts are believable and the zombies are realistic. The narrative draws you into this world...making me want to continue reading...
