Two stories from Debbie Macomber. In "Wanted, Perfect Partner" Meg's teenage daughter, Lindsey, had the nerve to place a personal ad on her behalf - 'Wanted: Perfect Partner. I'm dating-shy, divorced and seeking a man with marriage in mind.' Worse, Steve Conlan, who answered the ad, was perfect, according to Lindsey. Did a teenage matchmaker get it right?
In the second story, "Father's Day", Robin Masterton's young son, Jeff, thinks he needs a dog more than anything in the world. And there just happens to be one next door! But the friendly black Lab belongs to Cole Camden, the unfriendliest man in the neighbourhood. Still, Jeff persists - and ropes his mum in as the persuader. Perhaps there's a chance he'll have a dog, and a dad in time for Father's Day...

2 light but humorous and entertaining stories. Both about single mothers and their children’s involvement in finding them a partner. I liked the interplay between the children and the adults as much as the rest of the stories. Always nice to read something where you know there will be a happy ending.
Two short stories that have the DM hallmark of good writing, believable characters and a lot of romantic angst until the final curtain .. Although a good read, I tend to prefer the Series of books, rather than these stand-alone shorts ..
I enjoyed both short stories, the first one was hilarious but Lindsey annoyed me at times. The second story is by far my favourite, I enjoyed the relationships between Jeff, blackie, Cole and Robin. It was told in a way that I haven't read before and was glad I picked this book up
Two great short stories in one book. The first deals with a date set up thatgoes wrong with funny consequences. The second hinges on a boys love for a dog that just happens to belong to someone else.
A nice easy read just what you need when you can't sleep. This is two stories in one book so shorter than her series book and it shows there isn't the detail to them.
