CAN LOVE BE QUANTIFIED BY A SIMPLE BLOOD TEST AND AN ALGORITHM? SOMETIMES… BUT, NOT ALWAYS.

Kace’s heats are difficult and painful. His last alpha boyfriend hurt him by trying to breed him when Kace wasn’t ready or willing, and Kace was too polite to stop it but left the next day still in the throes of heat. His doctor calls his condition Heat Repulsion, and tells him if he meets his fated mate, that condition might go away. He recommends Perfect Match Agency for Kace, a new company that uses the science of pheromones to help people find their fated mates.

But when Kace goes on his first blind date with his perfect match, it’s not the alpha taking him out to dinner that interests him, but the man’s sulky assistant, Storm.

Alpha Storm has a secret. Because of a boyhood betrayal, he dislikes omegas who he has decided are superficial, silly, whimsical and untrustworthy. He has only ever hooked up with alphas. He has never been with an omega in heat, so he’s never experienced a knot and doesn’t even know if he can. But why would he want to knot anyone? He trusts no one.

Suddenly, both men experience off-schedule signs of pre-heat and pre-rut, and they soon discover they are causing each other’s symptoms.

Can both men overcome their insecurities, griefs and fears long enough to test the compatibility between them?

Grumpy/sunshine, mpreg, fated mates, first time knot, first time womb breach, heat and rut at the same time, steamy, low angst, non-shifter omegaverse, sweet romance.

The Perfect Match Agency is a multi-author gay romance series. The stories are non-shifter omegaverse with high heat and low angst. Male pregnancy is possible in the world. Each individual book can be read as a standalone, features a new couple, and a satisfying happily ever after.

Chance Match is book two in the Perfect Match Agency series. This book is by Wendy Rathbone but each book in the series is by a different author. I have to admit here that before this series, I had only read one other alpha/omega book and didn’t care for it. But I am loving this series. Both of these first two books were new to me authors and they were both amazing. Also, worth noting is that both of these first two books are scorching HOT!

Kace Newell is twenty two years old and is an omega. He has experienced severe pain with his previous heat while spending the heat with his then boyfriend. When he couldn’t stand the pain, the boyfriend didn’t stick around. The doctor told him that the condition might disappear if he finds his perfect mate and recommends the Perfect Match Agency.

Storm is an alpha. He works as an organizational assistant to a wonderful boss who has had a terrible time dating and decided to sign up for the Perfect Match Agency. Storm was hurt deeply when he was younger by an omega and swore off them from that day on. He only associates with other alphas and will have nothing to do with any omega ever. It is Storm’s job to greet the omega that was matched to his boss. But when the man walks in, Storm finds himself completely flustered. He can’t think straight. He’s never experienced anything like this before. As soon as he laid eyes on the omega, Kace, as soon as he got a whiff of his scent, his world turned upside down.

Kace was so excited to be matched so quickly. But when he walks into the office to meet his match for their date, it’s not his match that grabs his attention but his assistant. His smell, his voice, everything about him.

I loved the way these two started out. And I adored Storm’s boss, the one who was originally matched to Kace. He was so wonderful about the whole thing. What these two have to decide is if this attraction between them is just biology telling them they are sexually compatible, or if they truly are each other’s perfect match! Book three in this series is called Blind Match and is by M.M. Farmer. I can’t wait to read it.

“The universe had been created for two and only two. Kace and me.”

Flat and uninspired.

The writing, especially the dialogue, is wooden.

Despite the copious sex scenes, the story isn't sexy. I felt no connection between the MCs and couldn't stand Storm.

He was butt-hurt over something than happened when he was in high school some fifteen years ago and hated all omegas as a result.

First of all, if you're 30 something and still hung up on your high school boyfriend hUrTiNg YoUr FeElInGs, you need therapy.

Second of all, let's replace the words "all omegas are [insert negative, hateful stereotype]" with any other marginalized group, and it's no longer cute. It smacks of bigotry and narrow-mindedness.

I'm bummed that Roe is partnering with two not so great authors (IMHO, at least) for this series.

"I knew it so deeply there was no question of how or why or when. It just was. Storm was my mate."

Chance Match is the Second book in the multi-author series Perfect Match Agency. I've always wanted to read Wendy Rathbone's stories, so I was excited for this one.

We have Kace, an omega who has painful heats. Due to his condition, he will either need to find a compatible alpha or suffer alone with medication, missing out on his chance to have children. His doctor recommends he submit his profile to Perfect Match Agency, in the hopes he will find a compatible match. When he gets the results back and meets with the Alpha it's his assistance alluring scent that triggers something in him.

Storm does not like omegas. He sees them as cunning and manipulative creatures using alphas due to his experience. Seeing his boss be taken advantage of over the years did not help. However, when he scents Kace, he can not forget him. His cinnamon scent triggers his rut, and they both realize they are meant to be.

This was a short and fast-paced, fated mates (with a science/tech twist), but I really enjoyed it. It was heavily focused on Kace and Strom emotionally connecting during their heat and ruts. As with fated mates, it's pretty much insta love.

Storm came off as an asshole, but I'm glad that he was sweet and caring to Kace. I was half worried he was going to really hurt him but he's honestly a sweet guy who has been betrayed. I liked that he realized he could not use his past as a way to shove Kace away.

Overall it was a steamy, quick pace omegaverse read. I liked that we got an epilogue that showed them together welcoming their baby. I will definitely be checking out this author's other books.

Can't wait for the next book Blind Match!

It had a lot of potential but the last part of the book was so rushed. I wanted to see their relationship develop. I wanted to like Storm more than I did. I wish it had more to it than it did.

I feel completely indifferent about this book, which is a pity because I liked the premise.

Storm’s whole personality was work and hating omegas over a crappy teenage breakup. Get over yourself buddy. Seriously, you're like 30 now, it's time to move on.

Kace…didn’t really have any personality? He was sweet, I guess.

The sex was fine but nothing special.

I always appreciate in omegaverse books when the authors don't turn the characters into completely mindless animals during heat/rut, but the few conversations they had in between waves just weren't enough to convince me of an actual connection being built.

It was purely instalust then instalove. This can work with great characters, or really hot sex, or other plot things. Unfortunately, none of those elements did it for me here.

I wish I could rate this higher but it really wasn't good — which is a shame because the blurb made it sound so good.

WHAT I LIKED
- The blurb. I like the tropes omegaverse stories have and it’s almost always guaranteed I’ll love a book if the author writes engaging characters and writes well. In this, however, we also get the promise of a twist and I WAS SO EXCITED.

Let’s just say it was fun while it lasted.

WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE
- No character development. The characters don’t grow — and in Kace’s case (alliteration unintended), don’t have much to grown from. Storm is untrusting of omegas but he doesn’t really overcome his past and misconceptions. He just falls in lust with Kace then later falls in love with him. And as if that wasn’t bad enough, we learn about the “big bad” of Storm’s past in the epilogue.

???

- No chemistry between MCs. There’s really not much else to say. I didn’t feel a spark no matter how many times the author reminded me that the MCs felt one.

Overall, I was just very disinterested in Kace and Storm after the initial high of reading the blurb wore off. Which is a shame because I enjoyed High Heat by this author and I thought I’d enjoy more of their work.

3.5 stars for me. I will say that I liked that this one was a bit different than the other 3 books I have read in this series so far. In this one, the MC is matched with someone through the matchmaking agency and goes to meet him, but his actual perfect match is the other character in the room!

I liked Kace and Storm together - Kace more than Storm LOL. Storm took a while to warm up to, I think his past was a bit too overly dramatic to still be so affected like 15 years later. I also kinda have mixed feels on the notion that the right alpha will cure your medical issues, but maybe I'm reading too much into that.

This is a quick read, insta-lust, quick emotions, intense heat, and a quick relationship.

However, I'm really glad that Morgan is still going to get a story because he seemed like a kind alpha and deserves his perfect person!

So you got dumped by an omega 15+ years ago, and since then you've decided that "all omegas are bad" and you hate them all. You whiny little bitch. Get over yourself.

As you can see, I didn't like Storm. What a jerk. And I'm supposed to believe that the mating compulsion he then falls under makes him suddenly love this particular omega. Sure, sure.

I wish more time had been spent on developing the romantic relationship. These two men had no real chemistry, and it felt as if the only reason they got together was because of biology. Dialogue felt stilted and unrealistic, and so did the romance.

Meh. YMMV.

This was book 2 in the "Perfect Match Agency" series. Omega Kace has a problem he is in pain when his heat comes his doctor suggest that he goes to a matchmaking agency to find his fated mate and his condition might get better. He gets an 87% match to alpha Morgan who is smart rich and successful only its his assistant that is sending his body into heat. Storm is a hot sexy alpha who has sworn off omegas. When he meets Morgan's date he goes into pre-rut he thinks the omega used his wilds on him but he can't stop thinking about him or smelling him. This was a good read I liked both of these characters. With help from Morgan these two go at it hot and heavy and Kace no issues as he is in full blown heat and rut. I have read this author before this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

DNF. I feel a little bad reviewing it since I think it's clear that the author and I are not a good match, as others seemed to enjoy the book more. I didn't quite jive with the writing style, so little things stood out that I could normally look over. Organic water doesn't exist, for example (which might be the point? but that wasn't clear).

The writing is also not quite to my taste, but you might enjoy it.
“No.” I leaned back in my chair as a tendril of his scent wafted over me. Faint cinnamon. Like the cereal I once preferred in early childhood when I was still happy, when I was naïve to the ways of the world.

I had a quick image of the two of us, hands locked, bodies made of wind, soaring down, down until we lost our senses.

I had to check out once one of the MMCs removed a vent in his office while standing on a chair (this office must have short ceilings) to clean it because he was looking for the scent of the other MMC. Not for me, unfortunately, and I might have to check out of this series entirely because the first book was also not a good fit. It's a shame because I love the concept of the series :(

It could have been so much better but it was quite disappointing. I hat high hips at first but as longer as I read the more flat and uninspiring because the story, I didn’t Storm he just annoyed me, I also haven’t felt any connection between the MCs and I the dynamic felg so forced. It also had a way too much inner monologue wasn’t really my thing.

Oof, this was painful. The blurb sounded great, and the series is spearheaded by the consistently great Roe Horvat, so I jumped right in. The reality, though, was the clunkiest writing to ever have clunked.

I wonder what's up with Wendy Rathbone. The Omega Misfits series was so good (if painful at times,) and the Omega Island series was such great smutty fun. Lately, though, the quality has tanked. I gave up on a ARC of another book by her, and had to write to Gay Romance Reviews and opt out on reviewing it. Sadness.

And then there's this one that feels like a lazy, unfinished sketch. It could have done with a few more passes by the author, and some loving proofreaders. Someone should also have caught the basic weirdness about the anatomy of omegas in heat in this/her universe: Guys are usually described as nice and loose for all the heat sex, and self lubricating with rivers of slick, so why is there several references to Kace's "tight rosebud," and even talk about prep? The hell?!

A Joyfully Jay review.

3.5 stars

Chance Match is the second book in the multi-author Perfect Match Agency series. The books connect in that they all feature the matching agency, however, the stories are meant to stand alone. Having read and enjoyed the first in this collection, Cautious Match by Roe Horvat, I was interested to see how another author would approach a story in this world. I think Rathbone does a nice job here giving this one a clever twist, in that the original matched mates, Morgan and Kace, don’t end up being our ultimate couple. It was a nice way to give a different spin on the set up with the agency, but still use that as an inciting point to get Kace and Storm to meet one another. I appreciated that Morgan isn’t made out to the villain here, but instead he is a truly nice guy who is thrilled for the other two when they realize they are the true match.

Read Jay’s review in its entirety here.

The first 75% of this was 4-stars.

At the 76% mark, there’s a 1 year & 9 month time jump. I thought I was going to have to read 1/4 epilogue. But then it ends at 85%. So, it’s just 10% epilogue and then 15% excerpts of other books in the series. I’m almost annoyed enough at both those things to bump it down to 2-stars.

Chance Match is the second book in the ‘Perfect Match Agency’ series by various authors. This stars Kace, an omega, and Storm, an Alpha. It’s told in first person from both Kace and Storm’s pov.

The blurb does a good job of explaining the plot but I’ll go over it a bit here anyway. Kace has a serious medical condition that makes his heats and sex extremely painful. On a wild recommendation from his doctor, who speculates that an Alpha mate will cure Kace’s condition, Kace joins the ‘Perfect Match Agency’ in order to find his Alpha. His matched date, Morgan, is not the one. But someone else is, Morgan’s secretary, Storm. It takes Kace awhile to figure out who he’s really reacting to, and Storm is not amused, although he is extremely affected by Kace. Morgan helps set them up and Storm and Kace head for Storm’s home because Storm is going into rut, and Kace is going into heat. From there it’s mostly Storm who must drop his emotional walls and unravel his feelings for Kace. And Kace doesn’t want to come across as clingy.

I enjoyed this story. I liked how the characters had to get over their fears and especially how Storm had to break down the walls he’d built around himself. Kace was a sweet omega, but also insecure because he’d been rejected by other Alphas because of his painful heat condition. He thought he was doomed to being single, and not have a family for the rest of his life. ‘Perfect Match Agency’ was his last hope. Storm struck me as an extremely loyal and sensitive Alpha with intense feelings. Even working for Morgan, he was loyal and trustworthy, and I’m guessing because Storm was, he believed others were too, especially when he was in love with his boyfriend. Only Storm was never a super aggressive Alpha and that’s what his boyfriend liked. Storm could never compare because he wasn’t that kind of Alpha, he was doomed to fail. Once he was hurt, he built his walls against omegas. The author did a good job of creating distinct voices for all the characters including Morgan.

I like flawed characters. I don’t like perfect Marty Stu’s. Some readers might like that, but I don’t. I want imperfect characters who work at overcoming their flaws. Storm was definitely imperfect. As to Storm, I understood his behavior. There are reports every day on the news and articles of men who stalk ex-partners or worse if they're rejected. Storm never did that. He just avoided omegas as best he could, and he hurt himself by closing himself off emotionally instead. And I could surely win a bet of countless men and women in therapy who can’t get over a cheating ex and the anger they have for that ex. So, Storm’s behavior was realistic. He also was the one who broke down his own walls for Kace with the help of Kace’s heat scent and Storm’s rut. Those things forced him to look at what happened to him in a different light. He still has some work to do since he still distrusts omegas, but somehow, I think over time he’ll soften his views and realize it was the one omega who hurt him, not all. And like I mentioned, Kace was a sweetheart. In terms of bravery, I’d say Kace was the brave one, willing to search out help and change his life, while Storm hid away and was just marking time.

Of course, since this is an omega-verse story, it has a lot of sex in it, more than what I normally like to read, but I expected it. Over the course of Kace’s heat, the relationship develops and the author did a good job of showing that especially with Storm’s emotions and thoughts. One character I want to know more about is Morgan, Storm’s boss. He’s so hopeful that someday he’ll find his mate, but he’s always disappointed because he hasn’t yet, and all those that date him want him just for his money. Morgan seems like a nice Alpha.

Overall, I enjoyed this story. I liked Morgan the best, then Kace, and then Storm. But that’s to be expected since I don’t think Storm was supposed to be a likeable character, he was supposed to be prickly. I give Chance Match, 4 Stars and can’t wait for Morgan’s story.

I received an ARC from the author and am giving my honest and unbiased review.

Chance Match by Wendy Rathbone is the second book from the multi author series Perfect Match Agency.

So confession here... I never read omegaverse for the plot. I read it for the physical stuff... you know, the heats, the ruts, the knotting, the breeading, and this one actually was REALLY good for that. The first scenes where Storm and Kace come together was magical. However, I felt the beginning of the book a little rushed. I had read the blurb for this one so I was expecting more push back from Morgan, when he learned that his supposedly perfect match actually fell for his assistant. He was just so good about it, it felt too easy. I am happy however that Morgan will get his chance in book 5 of the series.

I loved Storm and his... coldness? I liked that the author stuck with this personality the whole time. Kace was a sweetie and the fact that he has a special omega condition gave me Omega Island vibes from the same author.

A very quick book for those who, like me, enjoy the intensity and spice only an omergaverse book can offer.

Kace is an omega that suffers from pain during his heats. His Doctor believes only someone compatible, a perfect fated mate can make the pain go away. He signs up for a dating agency but its not the match who is perfect for him, but the match's assistant, Storm. It was hard to like Storm in his arrogance and dislike of omegas, but Kace was vulnerable and full of sunshine. The grumpy Alpha needed him just as much. This novella was different, more introspective, full of their thoughts, fears and feelings and centered around one heat/rut cycle. I enjoyed Kace's desperate need for them to work and Storm giving over to his feelings finally. I received a copy of this book through Gay Romance Reviews and this is my honest opinion.

Kace signs up with Perfect Match Agency. When he goes to meet his 87% match, he meets his assistant, Storm, first. On his date with Morgan, he tries to concentrate but all he can think about is Storm, his scent, his demeanor, his sexy body. Kace goes into early heat and Storm goes into rut.

Storm has to overcome his aversion to Omegas since one broke his heart when he was younger. Kace hopes that Storm can help him with his unusual heats.

It took me a tad bit longer to read this book because I had read Morgan’s book first so I knew basically what was going to happen.

I loved this book. It was a really comforting read about two people, one hoping for love and the other too scared to hope for it. I really thought the author did and amazing job painting a picture of how hard it is to let go of you walls and hope for a better future. It was a great read, light but with enough substance to keep me hooked.

3.5 stars. Once again 90% smut but mostly sweet. I feel like the falling in love is completely about their biology and not much else but it's easy brain candy.

The anatomy of a male omega is interesting to say the least. Also, are there any women in this world? Cause it seems like no. Weird world building choice but 🤷🏼‍♀️

Pretty cute!

I enjoyed this one more than the first in the series, for sure. I liked that even though there was instant attraction, there was still build up before everything started happening.

This is, of course, a very quick read. It was structured pretty well, though. I enjoyed that Perfect Match was a plot point but it ended up being more organic.

Also really looooved how Kace softened up Storm! That was so precious.

Reading an entire multi-author series to read two of the books by an author I love? Why the hell not! Besides, it gets two books off my TBR list all the while adding a few more to my Read list AND discovering a few new fabulous authors. Sounds like a win-win-win to me. ;)
The series is the Perfect Match Agency. The second book is "Chance Match" by Wendy Rathbone.

["Can love be quantified by a simple blood test and an algorithm? Sometimes...but not always.

Can both men overcome their insecurities, griefs and fears long enough to test the compatibility between them?"]

These two were very opposed to the situation they found themselves in. Well, Storm was. Mostly. Kace, he was hoping against hope that it was real, that this could be his. Even when all the signs pointed to Fated Mates, they were still hesitant.

Until they weren't. Then they were all in. Head over heals. Giddy as schoolboys. Reading each other's mind. All. In.

And then it ended with a multi-chapter epilogue that was so sweet and perfect and HEA.

Chance Match
Omegaverse Universe
Perfect Match #2
Author: Wendy Rathbone

Perfect Match Agency is a multi-author gay romance series. It's a low angst, high heat perfect soulmate series.
This one is book two, but can be read as a standalone.

I've read quite a few of Rathbone's omega books, particularly set on the therapy island for omegas experiencing difficulties with partners.
These are human - non-shifter - omegas who are men able to become pregnant with alphas. And it's Mmpreg.
In this series, a dating agency claims to use science and psychology to find a perfect alpha/omega match.
Doctor Miran is seeing Kace for medical purposes. He confirms that twenty-two year old omega Kace has a heat disorder, which causes pain during heat sex and can affect his fertility. The condition is Heat Repulsion. Kace is basically allergic to any alpha other than a compatible mate. So the only cute is a perfect match.
Miran prescribes him a dating service that matches psychology, biology and DNA markers though it does cost him.
Morgan is an eternally romantic rich guy who is his 87% match. So, nervous but hopeful, Kace heads to his office to meet him.
Morgan's assistant and friend - Storm, the sceptic who thinks it'll just be another omega after his boss' money - hates greeting the cute omegas his boss dates.
But when Kace walks into the office, it's like Storm is struck by lightning.
And he doesn't want it, the feeling of being swept away by an omega who will use him.
The last thing he wants is a mate; especially the one picked out for his boss.

There's a lot of fun in this one as poor old Storm is in denial and Morgan catches him sniffing round the office looking for the source of the cinnamon smell. Yes, there's a joke there for romance fans.
Morgan has figured out what Storm refuses to acknowledge. Kace is his perfect match.
There's a lot of sweetness to the usually grumpy Storm and poor Kace is confused and desperate.
When the two finally kiss and nature takes its course, things heat up quickly. And yes you get a HEA.
The thing that I was most concerned about at the end is Morgan, the boss.
He's adorable.
However, if like me you're worried about him, you'll want to read book five, which features Morgan's match. Yay.
There's chemistry, laughter, poignant moments, cuteness and heat.
As well as pure romance.
My vibe rating on this is 5/5.

Lots of potential

I’m not sure if I’m just having a bit of a bad spell with this authors books but they’ve been feeling very flat lately. There’s tons of potential there and the concept is great but the actual story is uninspiring and the characters very two dimensional for me. Kace and Storm should, in theory, have been engaging characters and their story should have been one that really got you in the feels. You have an omega who’s body is betraying him told that he might have a chance if he can find his perfect mate and an alpha who was betrayed and terrified of risking loving an omega again. All great backgrounds that should have been able to create real character depth and genuine emotion. Unfortunately, it just didn’t happen. Kace and Storm honestly don’t seem to actually care about each other (beyond the fact we’re told they do after the story suddenly ends and we get catapulted into an epilogue). Storm seems like a medical convenience to Kace and Kace honestly doesn’t seem like anything to Storm. There’s no connection or spark. Instead we get told a bunch of stuff about the characters (but we don’t actually see who they are or even get told about what actually happened to Storm until a hastily thrown in bit in the epilogue) and then there’s a bunch of sex. I don’t know, maybe I’m being unfair and I’m just having a strange turn where I’m not in the right mood for this author but I swear their books in the past seemed to be filled with so much emotion. Yes there was lots of smexiness but there was also genuine character development and now it seems like all of that is gone. Even though I had a lot of issues with this one, I’m going to still say 3 stars because maybe it is me and I’m just in a mood and because this should have worked given the set up so maybe it will for others.

DNF after only 7%. The writing is so bad. Lots of short sentences so there’s no flow. Dialogue is wooden and I could tell this book would just make me rage if I continued. I’ve never read this author before and now have them on my avoid at all costs list.

This is book 2 in a 6 book series and there are 3 different authors. I loved book one - I’ve read a lot of Roe Horvat and while most of their books follow the same pattern they are able to create characters I love that have great chemistry and a believable connection and they are always so sweet (so make sure to read book one). So far all the books I’ve read by Roe Horvat take place in the same world & time frame and it’s established that an Omega goes into heat every two years so I assumed it would be the same in book 2 since even though it’s a different author it should be the same world. But the Omega in this book is 22 and has his first heat at 20 and has already had 3 of them and presumably has his 4th in this book??? Makes no sense - the cycle would have to be about every 6 months for that to add up. I looked through book one and while it’s not clearly stated it’s every 2 years like in other Roe Horvat books, the Omega in that book is 26 and about to start his 4 heat so if he had his first at 20 the timing would be every 2 years, which also fits into the timeline of when the character says he could get pregnant in the future in the epilogue. This is probably a small thing to most people, but inconsistencies like this drive me bonkers.

I moved on to book 3 and it was decent - a little too short to really feel like the characters have a love connection, but I liked it and am just going to pretend book 2 (and book 5) don’t exist

CHANCE MATCH is the second book in the Perfect Match Agency series and each book can be read as a standalone. I haven't read either of the other books and this did not affect my enjoyment of this one.

Because enjoy it I did! Kace and Storm are just so squishable together. Yes, Storm is grumpy and Kace is so sweet he'll give you a toothache, but together they're still so squishable!!!

I actually loved the premise of this - an omega who isn't bothered about sex and has had painful heats, searching for love because he doesn't want to be on medication for the rest of his life. And an alpha who doesn't trust omegas and yet can't resist the cinnamon scent!

There is no unnecessary angst here, and I loved that! In fact, there aren't even any characters that give angst, not even a little bit. Such a refreshing change. I really hope Morgan gets his story though as he is a sweetie with a heart of gold and (unfortunately, it seems) a bank balance to match.

If I had any complaint, it would be that I wanted more. The majority of the book is about Kace's heat and I would have liked to have seen them more in 'real' life rather than just in the bedroom. I did like the glimpse at the end which is partly why I'm saying it.

All in all, a hot, sweet, and sexy read that I thoroughly enjoyed and definitely recommend.

Kace is an omega who suffers from horrible heats. After several tests, his doctor tells him that he is probably suffering from heat repulsion. If he doesn't have an alpha for his heats they will be incredibly painful but if the alpha in his bed isn't his perfect match sex is very painful. The doctor recommends that Kace sign up with the Perfect Match Agency. The agency will do both scientific physical tests and psychological tests to find a compatible mate. Kace takes his advice and signs up. He is given an 87% match with Morgan a millionaire business man. Kace meets Morgan at his office and meets both him and his second in command Storm. Kace's date with Morgan ends up being a total waste because Kace can't keep Storm's scent out of his mind. Later he learns that meeting a more compatible mate will ruin a lesser match so Kace is wondering if he and Storm are meant to be together. He calls Morgan to ask for Storm's contact information and Morgan sets them up.

Storm is an alpha who hates omegas. He was in loves with an omega in high school who left him to be with another alpha. Storms sees all omegas as greedy and manipulative and wants nothing to do with them. He hates how his boss keeps trying to dated with omegas who just use him for his money. When he hears that Morgan has signed up with the Perfect Mate Agency, he thinks it is just a scam. When he meets Kace, he is instantly drawn to him even though he doesn't want to be. He hates feeling jealous of his boss. Through the whole weekend, Storm can't get Kace's scent out of his head. When Morgan sets the two up together, it triggers an alpha rut and an omega heat. Maybe they are fated after all.
