Chris Madden tries hard to replicate the J. Scott Campbell style, but this just doesn't measure up to the great original, which, let's admit, was damn near perfect.

This was still fun.

The art of this limited series was simply awful. Chins that finished in points, uneven traces and each number has at least a couple panels were the girls are sticking their tongues out or biting their lips. I guess the illustrator has seen way too many Miley Cyrus Videoclips.
The writing is as fun as usual, without adding anything special to the genre.

Look, I liked the original Danger Girl. It was fun, campy, sexy. Didn't take itself too seriously...and the art by J. Scott Campbell reflected that.
So I get it. You want that same art style for the next crop of books.
However, getting another artist to cop that style and do it so poorly that it takes away from the comic's story is bad, and boy, was this art ever hideously bad. The constant too pointy tongues hanging out of the girls' mouths in an attempt to look sexy, the total lack of understanding in the body curves that are a trademark of JDC's work, half the facial expressions looking like they were pulled right off the old book's panels and straight up copied (badly), the severe issues with 'same face' in the girls...ugh. The list goes on. The art seriously ruined this book for me and I had a really hard time focusing on the story bc of the eye sore.
The series would have been better off getting an artist with their own style as opposed to hiring a poor man's J. Scott Campbell. Two stars bc the story was on par enough. No stars for the art.

It is pretty much what I was expecting. This is the first Danger Girl book I have read. Good artwork, lots of fast paced action and explosions.

The Danger Girls have just returned from one explosive mission to be thrown into their next one. Where they will have to confront people from their past.

A fast paced, explosive story with good artwork and lot of innuendo, not much character development (no answers) or story in general, just really an excuse for the girls to blow stuff up. The book finishes with a cover gallery.

This a collected miniseries subsequent to the Deluxe collection, currently available on Kindle Unlimited. It has all the same elements as before, but in a very lightweight version. The story and art are both much less intricate and hence less interesting. There’s less tongue in cheek humour, and there’s an additional and unnecessary romance. Overall, a disappointment. The concept is already getting tired.

3.5 rounded down.
A failed attempt to capture the mystery, sexiness, and intrigue of the original run. You can tell JSC's absence in not just the artwork, but the plot and pacing too. Finally halfway through the story gets things going with the intro of Sonya, but even still, this is just a poor imitation of the original, sadly.
The art is good, but it's not JSC.

Easy read, great graphics, teenage novel

For a comic book of its time! Great read! Still has an appeal to fans like me and I urge anyone with 5 minutes or travelling to download.

One of my favorite series return, yessssssss!!!!
For those who do not know, Danger Girl comics are based on a cameo of "Charlie's Angels" where you can find to Valerie Evans: expert in technology & communications; Sydney Savage: Australian field agent (and my favorite); Johnny Barracuda: CIA a rogue liaison and Abbey Chase: international thief and ex-con.
Typical plot: A jewel or something very valuable stolen to order and through a lot of shots, sexy women, fun and occasional explosion.
In this new release seems to be adding a new member to group but after reading the first part, the new member is the former Abbey's fiance XD
I'd rate 4 stars because I see my dear Sidney odd.. I loved the old Sidney, sigh

Background: Danger Girl, Revolver #1 chronicles the activities of a task force brought together to solve crimes and mysteries. This issue opens as Johnny and Abbey are attempting to find a priceless heirloom, a ring that is about to be given as a wedding band.

Review: Great first issue! While fairly short (which most comics are), it was action packed and left me wanting to read more. The characters all seem to have their quarks which you pick up on right away, even though there is little explanation about them, and the dialogue is funny and entertaining. I think my only qualm with comics like this is that they paint a certain picture of females, voluptuous, but not in a natural way, and almost all images of them have boobs and butt everywhere! So, I guess…guys, enjoy!

Well like with most comic books I think that the graphics are amazing. Since it is a coming, it is a fairly short read. The first part of the story is very action packed, reminds me of some of the Indiana Jones escapades. There seems to be several female characters who all are spies, I'm not really sure if one in particular is Danger girl or as a collective they are Danger Girl. I had access to only to the first issue, and have not ready any of the previous Danger Girl comic books. I think if you like the spy adventure type of comic book than this one should be right up your alley and you will enjoy it.

In this one we get more background info on main character Abbey Chace. Entire episode looks like a mix of Indiana Jones and Alias - a successful combination in my opinion :)

Art is as always just great.

Recommended.

Another fun plot but i got disappointed when i realized the art is not by Campbell himself. So the drawings took me back a little but still has the same thrill and fun
