Sharon Jennings is a children's book author. She has published over 70 books in 27 years. She teaches writing at Ryerson University. She was President of The Canadian Society of Children’s Authors, Illustrators and Performers (CANSCAIP) for three terms.

It was crazy

This was a good (non whiny) Franklin the turtle book. School is going back in session after summer and things are suppose to be the same as it always has been for Franklin and his friends. BUT Mr Owl is sick and can't come to be their teacher so they get someone new. Will they accept him? They find out "he's" not a "He" but a She AND she talks with an accent and funny words. She's from Australia "down under" She has to get the kids to like her as she teaches them new and exciting things. They soon enjoy her as much as they do Mr Owl. A neat book to help teach children that new things aren't necessarily a bad thing.
