This is a quick-read book, I love only the steamy scenes in this book.
For the hot scenes, I could give the book 3 stars but as for the story, it deserves only 1.5 stars.
Yeah, it's hot. If you want to read a book just for the sex scenes alone, go grab this book!

What I don't like:
1. Humiliating someone who is nice, gentleman and you really, really, really has chance of being your boyfriend in front of his friends. Gus is such a sweetheart who took every humiliation because he was falling in love with Aislinn, a Domme. Gus is straight as an arrow but asking him to blowjob his friend's cock just to show who's the Dom and the Sub in their relationship is just too much. I would understand it if Gus is a BI but he is not. And not to forget, Gus is a respected and hard-working policeman.
2. Jackson sharing his fiancee to Gus, even if its just a finger sex.
Remember, Jackson is territorial.
3. Just a payback, Gus staged a menage involving his soon-to-be girlfriend and his best buddies. He didn't even ask Aislinn if this ok with her. She just went for the ride, figuratively and literally speaking. While his 2 friends sandwiched his soon-to-be-girlfriend, he finger-fucked his best friend's fiancee.
And the end of this mind-fuck orgy, Aislinn declared her love to Gus. *rolls eyes*

This was such an interesting book. I honestly do not know where to start on describing this book.
Gus is not your average officer. He likes to play. However his play involves a little BDSM. Gus is kind of set up with Aislinn. Aislinn is portrayed as a sweet sexy woman that men want to know. She owns a donut shop that does not sell just your average donut. These are supposed to be creations of delight.
There are lots of sex scenes in this book. However the author has wrote a story that is interesting and a wonderful read. Granted this book was a quick read for me. However it is worth reading is you enjoy erotic books.
I enjoyed how the author did not push a lot of the BDSM on the reader all at once. She gradually worked her way up to everything, including a happy ending.
I honestly do not know how to describe this book without giving away any spoilers. However I am sure it would help if I had a little more sleep before writing this review.
This book would be a great read for a husband/wife to read together to each other. Who knows what might happen.

Wow! This book was HOT, and really pushed the envelope! It's a Kindle melter.
Gus is a big ol' buff police officer, good natured and willing to be the sub to Ash's Dom. They have a budding romance, and at times the world of the club and the real world do not mesh.
Ash does things to Gus in the club that made me squirm, in an uncomfortable sort of way. That's not a reason to not read the book, but I'm not easily ruffled, and this story really pushed it. I think that was the author's intention.
Well, well, well, Gus decides turnabout is fair-play, and he arranges a special evening for Ash, that blows her... socks off! The in-your-face menage/orgy action is breathtaking writing, and not for the faint of heart.
I enjoyed the book, and look forward to the next kinky installment!

It started out well... But ended up a mess. Aislynn is a domme, and gas been getting little notes and gifts that have been making her uncomfortable. Gus is a cop that gets sent to get some donuts from her shop and ends up meeting her in the club afterwards. If my synopsis sounds confusing,, that's because the story is. First Gus is submissive, then he's not, them he's doing some hardcore play that you wouldn't expect, then the finale is just totally out in left field. I don't think I will look any ,ore at his series because what is going on is not making a lot of sense, and the characters just don't connect emotionally and it ends up being porn, basically. It's too bad, it looked like it had potential, but in the end it appeared that stuff was just being thrown in for shock value and not because it belonged in the story.

yea i have nothing else to say about this book i was way over it after that BS she did too him on the stage in front of everybody. What he did to her i didnt find it was pay back because it didnt fit her crime. I felt he was just in pain watching her with his friends so i dont think he won anything in that situation.

Awesomely wicked.
I didn't think I'd like the whole Domme thing. Usually I'm a Dom only kinda gal. But I really enjoyed this.

Of course, the female dom loses control of her first scene with the love interest and lets him take the reins because god forbid an author actually writes a female dom as dominant.
And that is on top of making her a newbie freshly trained by a man and a victim of a stalker in need of male protection.
It's funny but in the over fifty stories I have read featuring male doms, not one was unseasoned or needed to be safeguarded or lost his dominance in the face of his lust. Nope, they were all experienced (typically to the point of arrogance), were the safeguards and had no problem retaining their dominance, regardless of the circumstance (because they were 'naturally' dominant of course).
The sexism is real.
Doubly disappointing because this author was writing her dominance, in of itself, quite well (although the lack of informed consent, safety, limits, ect was squishing me out).

I really liked this book. It was a well thought out story and the action flowed seamlessly. The scenes in the club were HOT! I always enjoy whatever Ms. Devlin writes. This book is no exception. Gus and Aislinn definitely deserve their HEA. 5 stars. Sorry, no spoilers. I received this ARC and here is my honest review.

Aislinn Darby is a relatively new Domme at the La Forge BDSM club and she is still refining her persona. Her relationship with Gus confuses her because it doesn't quite follow the rules that she expects and she feels more attraction for the contradictory sub than she is quite comfortable with.
An implied threat to Aislinn rouses the protective instincts in Gus, even as he puts his body and his ego into her hands. She is determined to test his boundaries by requiring that he submit to a wide variety of tests but he is willing to allow her to play as long as he is given equal time.
This is an extremely hot book that explores quite a few aspects of kink even as it follows a bit of a mystery. It continues the theme started with the author's "Five Ways to Sunday" and features sizzling cameos from some of the characters introduced in that spicy tale. This close-knit brotherhood of police officers work and play hard together in a very arousing fashion. I wasn't sure that I liked all that Aislinn forced upon Gus because I can't help but feel that it would alter the dynamics of the workplace but have to admit that as usual, Ms Devlin has written a smoking hot tale. If you like a little kink in your erotica and enjoy tales with sexy alpha males unafraid to stretch their boundaries and the women who benefit from unabashed attention from them, this is the book for you!

Super loved Gus and Aislinn. I read a review on Amazon about an insecure Domme and how she did not take proper care of her sub...but I did not find that to be overly true. She was a person, not a Domme robot. Gus was freaking amazing. I want him...for me. Truly. This was hot and I really enjoyed it.
Again a bit light on the story and heavy on the action and there was a bit of a mystery here as well...which had a ridiculous outcome, but it was so innocuous, I'll give it a pass.

This was a good quick read. There wasn't a ton of plot, but what was there was pretty good. I loved how Ash treated Gus when he came into her bakery. The scene where Gus publically scened with Ash at the club was totally HOT! Gus is a large bulky, muscular man and Ash is a shorter woman who can dominate him. I am looking forward to stories for the other friends.

He has best buddies who..help them get to know each other. I really enjoyed this one. I love reading a positive Domme/sub story, and not one where she's not really a Domme, she's just been looking for the right man to dominate her, etc., blah, blah.

Once again, this was not about a long-term menage relationship but a one-time encounter, but still done well. The "mystery" in this story was resolved - although not until the VERY end so I thought it was going to be an unresolved thing like in the first story which was going to irk me a bit. But we do find out who the stalker is.
Nice to see the couple in this story and to get to know a bit more about the other characters as we know they will be the subject of their own story as we get further in the series.

This was a fun novella that uses the old ju-jitsu principles very effectively - use your opponent's momentum to your own advantage. I'm not a fan of guys being subject to the hand of a woman, but the main scene was well done and was more "sexy" than "uncomfortable" for me. The final scene was a bit rushed, but very hot.
There are more guys to satisfy in this series, so there should be more books.

Wow, it's not often that a shorter book like this can surprise me, but this one managed it! The scene at the club is a bit controversial, and boundary-pushing in many ways. But looked at another way, it is the truest way for someone to express their love; by submitting to their partner's will in order to give them whatever they need.

The story reads quickly and despite it's tight time frame, it is believable as the author uses their actions to move Aislinn and Gus through the emotional landscape of finding that one perfect person.
