This is the third contribution to my World Destination mini-series within the great multi-author Ornamental Match Maker series. All standalone inspirational, romance. Christmas at the Castle (my book 1 in World Destinations or #37 in the OMM series) or Christmas at Seaside Inn (my book 2 in World Destinations or book 38 in the OMM series) are my first two contributions for the adventures of women from the organization out to help entrepreneurs with their problems. They are sprinkled with touches of mystery and suspense. Christmas at the Cabin (my book 3 in World Destinations and #39 in the OMM series) is a heartwarming love story unfolding in the frozen north, speckled with the flavor of Hallmark, and completed with Mrs. Claus’s fun ornamental plot-twist.

“Mrs. Claus is all about spreading Christmas cheer—especially to the many lonely-hearts seeking friendship, love, healing, second chances, and that special someone of their own.”
“These books are designed to be a fun, quick read with a touch of magic and romance. Each of the Ornamental Match Makers stories will read as a stand-alone and are created by various authors. They are clean, heartwarming tales. From historical to contemporary, from heartfelt to humorous, from magical to inspirational, each of these sweet romance stories ends in a festive happily ever after that will leave you wanting more—so be sure to check out all the titles by multiple authors for this series.”
I absolutely loved this story—it has it all, a clean, Christian-based, not preachy story. The story has a great cast of characters, sweet interactions, and the coveted happily-ever-after ending. Sometimes in life, the person you are so comfortable with turns out not to be as wonderful as you had hoped. Ariana Smith and Brice Wilder had gone up together, been friends and sweethearts—but in all these years, he has never asked for her hand in marriage. What a surprise to show up early at his home for their weekly date to see him with another woman in a kiss and then to casually tell her he is moving on.
Ariana: I’m not in the mood for a visit with the man who betrayed my trust. How did I not see it coming? Goodbye, Brice, It’s been a long ride, but I’ll get off the train and leave you to your destination.
Ariana had been offered a job in Alaska by World Destinations that she wasn’t going to accept but this changed everything. She will accept the offer and leave, even if that means she won’t be spending Christmas and the New Year with her family.
“Seems God did not write our romance in the stars. It should have happened by now anyway.”
“Things were improving; perhaps there was a light at the end of this heartbreak tunnel.”
Ariana will travel to Brixton Cove, Alaska to meet with Grayson Brixton about revamping the resort his late parents had built—and also to help bring more tourists to the area to see Christmas Town. At the airport, she is given a small package which she tucks away. When she does open it, she discovers a Christmas ornament of Santa using a dogsled to deliver packages—and a note:
“Watch for the counterpart, for he will be, the one to fill your heart with loyalty and love.”
What a fun story in the wilds of Alaska. I liked the characters that we meet, the various circumstances, and how Ariana and Grayson develop feelings for one another and heal each other’s broken hearts. Her concept to revamp the resort was unique and clever and would give the vacationers an experience of pioneer days. Best of all, not only does Grayson receive complete approval from his fellow Alaskans, but they happily accept the girl from Texas too, as one of their own.
Grayson- Alaskan born a d bread is trying to make his inherited cabins a vacation resort. Ariana- works at the destination place and dated the same guy since grade school. I enjoyed reading this captivating contemporary story with a complete and loving hea!.
Ariana has just split with her long-term boyfriend when she travels to Alaska for her job, advising Grayson at his struggling resort. Being part of the Ornamental Match Maker Series Mrs Claus becomes involved. It might seem strange releasing a Christmas-themed release in the middle of June, however one of the UK movie TV stations has a regular Christmas in July month, so anything goes. Ariana could be just a Southern rich girl, but she comes across as very capable in her job. Grayson is still mourning the loss of his parents and is lonely in his remote resort, there is some instant attraction between them but can this grow between two with such different backgrounds? The story does show the harsh, unforgiving nature of this remote area, but also the beauty that is there. I'd certainly love to visit, but would definitely take my thermals with me. Ideal for reading on the beach or by the pool to help cool you down. I received an advance copy of this book from the author, however this did not influenced my review of the book.
I was given this book to read and review by the author. My review is unbiased. The author writes of a successful single Texan lady suddenly nursing a broken heart. Her employer sends has an assignment for her in the frontiers of Alaska, in winter. Can the beautiful, wild views help he a broken heart. The owner of the destination she's sent to work for is nursing his own pain. Can the two of them create a destination to rival 5 star resorts? Can they help heal each other's pain? God had a plan for these two. Christmas at the Cabin was indeed a miracle.
From the snowy Alaskan landscape to the breathtaking Northern Lights, Ariana was captivated at first sight as she undertook her newest client, Grayson Brixton and Brixton Cove, the property left him by his parents. She came to oversee the development and expansion of the property but was that the only reason she was here? Did God have something else in mind when she was allocated this particular job? A magical, warm and fuzzy story that delighted my very heart, beginning to end!
He owns a business in Alaska - She’s from Texas She flies to Alaska to help him with his business. He is not sure about what she wants to do . . . but knows he needs to do something!! This is a superb love story — enjoyed it 100%. I received a copy of this book from the publisher. All thoughts and comments are my own.
I have read other of Marlene's books in the Ornamental Matchmaker series. Her books do not disappoint. I enjoy the clean and sweet stories. Different reading about Christmas in Alaska during the month of June. Ariana is a delight. Know that Mrs. Claus will make an appearance. You will not be disappointed in this page turner. This book was a gift. This review is my honest opinion.
I have enjoyed every Ornamental Matchmaker story. This one seemed especially intriguing as it’s set in Alaska during the winter. Loved all the characters except for evil Brice! A very fun book to read. I received a copy of this book and these are my own opinions.
A standalone Christmas story, part romance, part mystery with intriguing characters (Ariana and Grayson), twist and turn plot and a HEA resolution. Add Mrs. Claus's fun ornament twist, a Christmas town Alaskan setting, delightful sled dogs for a page turning summer Christmas read.
I loved Grayson and Ariana's story. These two are perfect for each other and I so enjoyed watching things come together for them. It's always fun to visit Alaska and get a taste of the frontier there and this book gives you a taste of what it's like. A wonderful read.
