Dear Author,
It's the 26th Century and the human race has seeded itself throughout many galaxies. These two guys have been paired up for the latest Ursa Majoris Pornacopia Holoflick. They have 24hrs to figure out how to get it up and get it on… without breaking Universal Health and Safety Codes for Interspecies Sex Acts.

Vin signed up for a weeklong experiment in the 20th century, but something went wrong, and he woke up from deep freeze 500 years later.
Now, in the 26th century, he works in the porn industry. The story starts with Vin arriving to the scene of his new assignment. But his partner for this shoot is a huge, blue, horned Denoblian, Jali.
Vin is not happy with the pairing, nor the act he has to perform. Of course, Jali convinces him otherwise.
Close Encounters is a fun, imaginative story, with interspecies (alien-human) sex, and the possibility of something more between Vin and Jali.

Too short to say a whole lot about this. It's a space short story about the futuristic pornography industry. A human male is to do a porn film with a big, blue horned species. Hot sex, for sure. A few funny lines. It was a hot, enjoyable, short read.

This was pretty terrible. The main problem was that the author tried to fit too much into the story that was unnecessary. For example, Plus it was treally confusing in the beginning.
The sex was mediocre and I just didn't buy the romance at all. The MC reluctance over the matter was also bizarre. Weirdly, I had just read a novel Frat House Troopers where the premise was similar circumstances (sex on video) but while that one was really hot, this was just dull.
Add the fact that it wasn't well written, frequently the same word would be used two sentences in a row, or extra words would be tacked on that were unnecessary and distracting, plus the need for a copy editor, just added to the displeasure.
1.5 stars, rounded down because of the need for copy editing.

Wow, not sure what to say. This was really funny but also really hot, and the way she worked the whole set-up around the picture was perfect. Loved the futuristic porno setting, and it was a cool twist to have Vin be from our century so we could relate to him and get some funny culture clashes. The guys obviously had a connection, my only complaint is that they could have displayed a little more of an emotional connection during the sex to proceed Jali's proclamation that they could be mates. It ended with a cute HFN but if extended this could easily make a great full-length with an awesome HEA!

Cute short story but it got me curious about who the client was, and the ending is left open. I think it needed an extra sex scene, it tells us how compatible they are but we don't get to see much. Would have loved a bonus chapter where they go on a date or something.

Vin and Jali have been paired up to shoot a pornographic movie for a high-paying customer, the only problem is that Jali is an alien of a species that Vin has never seen before... and that the customer wants him to bottom, something he doesn't do on camera. Will Vin and Jali figure it out or will Vin have to negotiate an escape clause and take a penalty?
I was very excited when I read the blurb for this story. Sci-fi? Futuristic pornography? Alien sex? Sold. However, while the setting of this story was interesting, I felt a little disappointed when I actually got around to reading it. It's still an interesting, well-written story with developed characters that's worth reading, especially as it is free. However, it comes with some drawbacks that keep it from earning a higher score in my opinion.
Jali was probably my favorite character in this book. He's an interesting alien with blue skin and the power to project thoughts. He's pretty matter-of-fact about his job and doesn't seem to be shy about being on film at all. Vin was a little more reluctant but by the end of the book I had warmed more to him as well, especially when he finally stands up for himself and what he wants.
While I'd hoped for Vin and Jali to film the vid and find a deeper connection, this story actually takes place before the shoot and ends at the very start of it. I was fine with that because I figured it would help Vin and Jali find a deeper emotional connection, but certain things about their relationship fell flat for me regardless. I felt that Jali jumped the gun, so to speak, on announcing that they might be able to share a permanent bond. The sex lacked intimacy for a private act in my opinion and would have been better suited to being in front of the camera. When we finally got to the shoot, the story abruptly ended with a hazy HFA.
My other complaint is that some consent issues made me feel a little uncomfortable at the beginning. While Vin is understandably under a contract, it seems at the start that he is almost being coerced to co-operate. He's scared by the size of Jali's dick. He's being forced to wear a cock ring that penalizes him for taking it off. Top it off with the fact that he's being asked to participate in a sex act he's uncomfortable with and can't just walk away from killed some of the hotness for me. I don't really enjoy fear or reluctance in a sexual relationship that's supposed to be a HEA or HFN. When Vin does come around to the idea of sexual congress with Jali, it turns out that Jali is emitting pheromones and I really did wonder how much of their connection was real and how much was Vin under the influence of that. Jali did seem like a nice, interesting guy and I didn't think he was taking advantage of Vin at all, but I really did feel that Vin was a reluctant porn star who shouldn't have been in the business in the first place. The ending did resolve a lot of that but at the start I was mentally begging Vin to just break his contract and leave. I know it wasn't really intended to be read that way, but my mind does go to dark places occasionally. Perhaps I was just in a dark mood when I read this and I'd say that if you're interested in reading it, please don't let my review put you off.

OMG! This was so funny! I loved it :D I wasn't sure I was going to like it when I saw the cartoon prompt, but I am so glad I read this.
This is the story of Vin, a human from the 20th century who through no fault of his own, has been vaulted five hundred years into the future along with a few other males from the same time. The only job Vin is suited for is as a porn star creating holoflicks for Ursa Majoris Pornacopia.
The story begins with Vin preparing for his next holoflick. Unbeknownst to him, his manager Sather has agreed for Vin to get fucked by a large blue Denoblian named Jali, who has massive yellow horns, along with an equally massive cock. To say Vin is distressed, bordering on hysterical is an understatement. Vin's distress is highly amusing while Jali is steady and calm. Jali answers all of Vin's questions honestly and sometimes with amusement, and in the process of being in Jali's presence, Vin starts to succumb to Jali's pheromones and Vin finds out what those yellow horns are good for. To say the two have a rousing good time while waiting for the shoot, is an understatement.
I don't want to give away any more of the story, but I loved the hilarity and the characters. I had no trouble visualizing the scenes or the personalities of the characters.
This is a great story and I would happily read about the characters again if the author decides to write more about them.

This was a short erotica, m/m, and for a short it was very good. I would like to get to know this world better. A scifi interspecies, so if either m/m or inter-species (although bipedal and pretty human like other than the color, size, and horns), it won't be for you.
I thought the author got the setting and the characters pretty good for the short frame work. We even get some background on the main characters and where he comes from and his friends and how they are. I love the nick names because they are out of time from an experiment. Then we get the slime-ball agent and sportive friend. The second character is less drawn out but you get a feeling for him because he has followed the career of the other and does subtle pushes to the main character to get him to relax. Definitely fun but it ended too soon.

Um...well, this really isn't my type of book. I thought it was well written and I was really impressed with all things that take place 500 years in the future. The imagination needed for that just makes me envious. While I could appreciate what was going on with Jali and Vin, I still am not a fan of this type of pairing. I'm sorry but I admit it; I'm a little traditional and am a specie-ist (I'm trying to say that I am prejudiced against inter-species mingling) please don't hate me for being honest. I am still of the opinion that anyone can do anything they want and it should not be something that is anyone else's business. But, for me, I am the way I am. The story was still a good one, so if you are into it, by all means, you may find a keeper here.

A fun read with some hot stuff in there. It was very entertaining and colorfully told. I was missing a little more depth to the characters, but got diverted in a good way by the rest of the story, so - well done!
It would be great if there was a follow up of these two, after finishing their movie. I'd love to read more about them and their interactions, especially because of the "mating" in Jiri culture and the teasing comments regarding his familiy. I imagine it would be so much fun to read about Vin thrown into Jiris family and society... and how these two would handle their differences.

I’ll admit; I was skeptical that this particular picture prompt could produce a story that I’d find interesting, much less enjoy. I couldn’t have been more wrong! I enjoyed it immensely and was extremely impressed with the creativity. I’d happily read more about big blue guys with gold nipples and horns any time!!

The picture and prompt for this story didn't really grab me and I honestly didn't think I'd like the story at all, but thought I might as well give it a try anyway. I'm insanely glad I did because I loved it. The characters, the setting, the dialogue, the sex... everything was just perfect. I want more! ;)

Generally speaking I'm not a big sci-fi fan. However, this was very engaging! I really liked Jali and Vin together. They were so entertaining and a little bit sweet too. I would love to see what does happen after the shoot. And a porn company called Pornocopia? Brilliant! Plus I got to learn a new French phrase ;)

This was so fun, and so hot, and really really fascinating! I loved what we got to see of this world--the different species we were introduced to, how Vin and his friends ended up in the future, the organization regulating inter-species pairing for porn shoots... so funny!

It was different. There was a little bit of background information and hinted at a possibility of a future. Alien description was very detailed, if not a little strange. I enjoyed the different plot too, not your typical one. Would like to see this one expanded though, I think that would make it even better. Or even a follow up.

A surprisingly sweet story considering that one of the MCs is a giant, blue, horned alien and the other is an anachronistic 21st century human who has spent the last 5 centuries in cryogenic sleep! Humorous, sexy and sweet!

I actually liked this story much more than I thought I would. It was a bit of a weird premise but the author really made it work. Had a lot of sex in it, but not a lot of major plot. Overall, it was enjoyable.
