This is the EXTENDED, MORE EXPLICIT VERSION of this story.
Kaylani Reynolds is a sexy female architect who's been laid off, but not laid in a while. She tries to keep the peace with her delicious, but annoying neighbor Ryan Stevens without becoming his next piece of ass. Kaylani lives in a huge house that she designed herself, right next door to Ryan's much smaller home. He thinks she's doing too much with her pricey pad. She thinks he's doing too much, too, with his barking pit bull, and constant complaints about her cat, and her design choices. He seems determined to set her off at every turn. It's no wonder that when she loses her job, she doesn't want his judgmental ass to know. Then again, she doesn't want anyone to know that she's chosen a job that doesn't require a degree. To make matters worse, she's seen what Ryan is packing. Will she be able to resist riding his long black limo?

It was a short tease that left me wanting more. A good quick read that introduced me to this author. I was looking for something quick and this did the trick.
yeah, it was free on Amazon for me but it just wasn't my thing. I actually hated it in fact, not because of the elementary description that was given but mostly because of Kaylani, all in all the bitch got on my nerves. So what if you're man is possessive of you, Boo Fucking Hoo. Worry when he don't give a fuck or when he starts to hit you, not when he wants to.hit other men. Also Ryan and Chaz was a coming and going thing for me. It just never worked for me.
The back and forth between Kaylani and Ryan was a bit dizzying--a thin line between lust, love, and hate. That, along with the ending feeling a bit rushed, were the reasons why this read didn't get a higher rating.
I couldn´t even finish the first page - it was just too much, too many clichés and absurd descriptions *shudders* - "Musky scent", "9 inch thick pipe", "my 36D breasts" and "big, loose ball sac". I DNF at the ball sac, TYVM.
I found this book to be a great read and it made me fill like i was there with her in all the sex and romance.
I in joyed the story very much in all it's detail and graficts tells I would recommend this book to all my friend s that like to read o ya. Thank you very much and please do write more I'd love to read them

If one doesn't want the in your face type of erotica, then this may not necessarily be everyone's cup of tea. All of that aside, Downsized still has some opportunities, some of which are listed here (via directly from the TRB review): (baby bit of spoiler)
The dialogue afterwards threw me off a bit.
I just couldn’t grasp how Lonnie could have known that Ryan “just wanted her body and not her” for their initial meeting. A part of me felt like she was just telling herself that so she wouldn’t feel as aggravated that the sexual aspect didn’t go down right away.
Then, she begins to downplay their sexual moment as a “booty call brought on by her current profession”, which I could tell was hurtful to Ryan by his reaction. To me, it seems very apparent that Ryan is into Kaylani, so I couldn’t quite understand why she continued to try and throw pot shots at him.
Then, the confessional of “love” just before the ending. From lust, to dislike, to lust, to dislike, and now to love.
Yes, it makes for a nice way to end the story, but I just felt like something was missing. How did that transition come about…not as much for him but as for her loving him, since most of the dialogue throughout the story spoke of her hunger for him physically?
For me, the wrap up seemed a bit rushed. The development to how the feelings arrived at love, particularly for Kaylani. Perhaps the author wanted to save it more for the full story. Or maybe the author felt weird about leaving the dialogue with both of them still upset with each other.
I felt a bit of disconnect as it pertains to Kaylani. I do have a weak spot for characters that are unique or who I can identify with. For me, Kaylani seems a little bit stereotypical for me. Not saying there’s anything wrong with her liking the finer things, being successful, or not getting her hair wet…but I craved something a bit different.
Review based off a free copy. I liked it, just wasn't crazy for it. Had a good mix of erotica to story but some of the descriptions had me shaking my head. Kept seeing drama that wasn't very dramatic too. Had potential to be 4 stars, but it's a solid three.
Okay this is a strange story about a woman who gets hit by the Recession and has to downsize while she is doing so she finds out that she really wants a man who she claims drives her crazy. For Real! The story was good at parts because unlike many short stories it contained a story line. What was strange was some of the phrases that were used like waxed my kitty and sucking on a pickle. I could never get over these. Pretty decent story and worth it because it is Free. Go Check it Out and let me know what you think.
I originally found this book through another book I read that contains excerpts of this book and another book. I basically read this twice with a couple of added details. I was wishing this story was longer until I realized there is a part two. Either way I loved this just as much as the first time I read this story and I look forward to reading part two.
"I buried my nose in his big, loose ball sac and inhaled deeply, causing the skin to clog my nasal passages." was not even the quote that got me. "Sluuuuurrrrrrrrrrrrp! Pppt Ppppt. Sluuurp!" drove it home and this was all on page one!
This was ok...I just didn't like how the neighbor was talking bout he was in love with her. Boy bye. Ya'll had dinner once and after that ya'll couldn't stand each other until you saw her bustin it open in the strip club. The sex scenes weren't the best. I hated Lonnie and her bougie ass.

I absolutely loved this short quick read from Ms. Downlow. I I love reading books by this author. I would recommend anyone who loves good books to read one of her books.
This was an OK read! It was really fast moving, jumped right into the story. There wasn't really room to predict what might happen next, but overall I enjoyed reading.
Based on the WARNING of ADULTS ONLY and EXPLICIT SEX, I expected the story would be packed full of heat! Luke warm but nonetheless a short, enjoyable, compact read.
OMG!!!! I TOTES downloaded this by accident. LOL! And after the first page, I HAD to speed read through it to see what it was. GURL, this so NOT MY THANG! LOL! I'm laughing so f'ing hard!!
