[ Releído en 2023. ]
Pese a haber desarrollado una nueva técnica llamada Ignite Pass Kai, Kuroko se topa con pared y no puede hacerle frente a Aomine, con quien antes compartía una amistad gracias a su amor por el basketball.
En los capítulos anteriores, hemos visto cómo Aomine fue perdiendo su interés por jugar ya que no había ningún oponente digno y todos se rendían ante Teiko a mitad del partido; esto contribuyó a que se convirtiera en alguien sumamente arrogante que ni siquiera asiste a las prácticas de su actual equipo. Aunado a ello, sus habilidades como jugador son verdaderamente monstruosas, por lo que, aún si se esfuerzan, sus oponentes no han logrado ponerlo en aprietos.
Sin embargo, Seirin tiene una nueva determinación, y por primera vez desde hace muchísimo tiempo, Aomine juega en serio y reconoce a Kagami como un rival digno. Pero, esto también significa que el as de Seirin debe de dejar de depender de Kuroko y darlo todo por sí mismo.
Ahora bien, como dije en el anterior volumen, este es mi partido favorito en toda la serie porque vemos cómo los chicos de Seirin han crecido para mejorar no sólo como personas y amigos, sino también como jugadores que rayan más a algo profesional. Aun hoy día, mientras paso las páginas, grito, me emociono, me río e inclusive hasta se me aguan los ojos, porque es imposible no reconocer el esfuerzo de alguien que ama tanto algo, que quiere ser el mejor en ello.
Amo este tipo de shonen porque siempre me recuerdan que, de alguna forma, si te esfuerzas lo suficiente, puedes lograr ser el mejor, aunque claro, todo requiere práctica, determinación y a última instancia, un corazón ardiente y una mente equilibrada. Se dice fácil, pero en realidad, requiere de mucho superar tus propios límites. Al final de cuentas, ¿qué tanto estás dispuesto a dar con tal de lograr tus metas?
En fin, resta decir que amo la amistad de los chicos de Seirin, no sólo entre Kagami y Kuroko, sino también entre Hyuuga y Teppei, quienes han levantado a este equipo gracias a su esfuerzo y determinación.
Ciertamente, Aomine también es de mis personajes favoritos, pero soy consciente de que necesita un golpe de realidad y la única forma de conseguirlo es derrotándolo.
Dicho eso, ¡no puedo esperar a leer el siguiente volumen!

I enjoyed this volume, and I love this manga and the scene of playing basketball. However this match is too long!! I want to know the result!! I keep feeling nervous since the match started, so I’m tired lol

Kagami starts playing SERIOUS. Aomine starts playing SERIOUS. Glasses dude starts playing EVIL, I guess? We get a lot of 'okay now is where the match REALLY starts' and everyone decided that their ultimate keikaku is going to unfold, oh and Aomine stops a makankosappo as this series devolves into beam struggles and the like.

Nesse volume as coisas esquentam bastante por conta do embate Kagami e Aomine. Os capítulos são bem mais dinâmicos e emocionantes do que no volume anterior como era de se esperar considerando que esse volume todo se passa durante um jogo.

I accidently started this review with a German swear word, which is hilarious because I never swear in my native language. I hope it says at least something about the emotional turmoil I am in right now, though.
This volume was incredible. It started with Hyuuga attaining another skill, and Mushroom-kun revealing that he's even sillier than anyone could have imagined. (His face when he says "Because I'm better, hmph!" will hopefully forever remain in my memories.)
Next was Tetsuya getting past Aomine, which.. yeah. I think the Aomine/Tetsuya dynamic is one of the most interesting in the series. I have a soft spot for all the characters, when I'm being honest, but they have history that I really need to know more of. I suppose this is also closely related to all the hints in prior chapters. And fuck yes, finally some flashbacks. I almost fainted from sheer joy.
The thing is, even moving on from the weird "we once were a couple" vibe, their story seems kind of tragic, and the things Tetsu reveals to Kagami in the break ("I just wanted to see him play smiling once again,") as well as his utter devastation when he realises that he still remains "inferior" to Aomine's skills, slowly broke my heart.
It was an up and down, really. One moment Tetsu reveals he has a trump, then it blows up in his face. And while I liked the fact that Kagami reached new levels, I was somewhat distracted by a voice in my head screaming TETSUUUUUU.
So much pain. If Tetsu doesn't feel better soon, I'll hit someone!
Aomine's excitement only partially made up for it, especially since Touo seemed to pull one trick after another. Those wonderful fuckers.

Seeing Kuroko like this......looorrddd! It breaks me!! How Kagami steps up just making this pair so shippable! Kagami x Kuroko <333 eeeee! Seriously, hold on tight because this ship is sailing full steam ahead!

First Game: Seirin VS Touou.
Aomine is so cool. Even if he's too damn cocky most of the time. Well that's just because he got something to be really proud of. He's that freakin' good in playing basketball. BUT Kagami now became stronger too. Woot! He trained with this master in America. The one who taught him how to play.
Well. Anyway. I love love love how they improved their own play and the team play. :)
I love the younger version of Aomine! When he's not yet what he is right now. He always smile! <3 Unlike when he smile today, it's like a maniacal one. But in the past it was genuine.

Waaahhh! Oh my gawd! Kagami-samaaaaa ♡ You've finally released your real strength. Oh my gosh! Wow! He's really keeping up with Aomine and they're not even on a 100% yet! O_O they're so amazing! I guess Aomine is happy that he found a worthy rival in basketball.
Yeah, i think Aomine wasn't such a bad guy. He's just Really arrogant. :)) haha! But awww.. oh my gosh! I got a little teary-eyed when Kuroko said those things like he just wanted to see Aomine smile again while playing. Whew! Things are getting too hot. Momoi-chan's observation is spectacular. Damn. What a fight this is.

This volume was so emotional! I cried a lot seeing my Kuroko crying!
Yayy we get to see a little about Kuroko's pastand I need him to be friends with Aomine again and I just loved to see how Kagami cares and worries about Kuroko!
I can't wait to read the next one! (And hopefully Seirin will win this time!)

Ack, you guys. I don't even know what to say. Kuroko and Aomine's past and Kuroko's reason for wanting to beat Aomine are just so <3. And Kagami - that guy is so sweet it's almost impossible. Also, this game is way too exciting for me.

Really high paced! The beginnings of the batch between Touou and Seirin. Aomine is a monster, I can tell you that, but unexpectedly, Kagami shows off just how rewarding his time in America has been.
