Review: Deja Blue is the second book in the Ruby Blue Series. And if you have read my review for Ruby Blue you will know that I 100% adored that book. So I have been waiting in anticipation for the sequel. I was excited so see what other adventures Ruby and the gang would embark on. However, I was really anxious incase it didn't live up to my expectations. Fortunately Julie Cassar has hit a home run! Not one part of this book was a disappointment.
I won't go into details about what the book is about as the description above basically sums up everything you need to know. Deja Blue like Ruby Blue is a fun and exciting its packed with adventure and a bit of romance built. Ruby is one of my favourite characters of all time. She is so funny. Her voice is so unique compared to the current YA protagonists. She is head strong, independent, quirky and overall just a really nice person.
Ruby has three best friends. Jeremy, who gets the best one liners! He is so funny. Anya and Brennan who are fairy royalty. Together they make such a fantastic team. And I predict a love triangle in book 3 between Ruby, Brennan and her current boyfriend Nick. Because it is so obvious Ruby and Brennan have that love/hate attraction. And Nick well he nice enough but he Is no Brennan ;)
As I said this series is just amazing. Book1 we had dragons on the loss. Book 2 we have mermaids fairies and trolls. I highly recommend these books if you are looking for something fun and quick. They are perfect books to help you escape. And if you are like me you will be captivated by the world and characters that Julie has created.
Julie is now without a doubt one of my favourite authors and I hope more people pick up her books. So go get reading!!!
Again, I didn't want to put this book down (ok my kindle). I am eagerly waiting for book 3. Deja Blue has all the characters from Ruby Blue, plus mermaids and trolls!
I must say though, that I really wanted to smack Jeremy. I know he is a gay teen, but he was getting annoying. He was still funny at times, but even Ruby wanted to smack him (I think) in the story. This book picks up really right after book 1 stopped. After Ruby slayed the dragon in book 1, she now has a stalker. She goes with her boyfriend, Nick, and his parents on a weekend vacation to another town for a festival. While there, she keeps seeing a dark shadow peeking on her. She almost got hit my a motorcycle then she is saved by a mermaid. Ruby, Brennan and Anya (fairy prince and princess-her best friends) are off on another adventure. Together, the three of them find out who Ruby's stalker is; and Ruby competes in a Water Court challenge. At the end of the book, its Ruby's birthday, Brennan gives her a wonderful gift. Which makes Ruby think differently about him and her relationship with her boyfriend. I honestly loved the little twist thrown in the story, and Ruby's thoughts at the end. Can't wait to read book 3! four and 1/2 stars!!!!!! (I was given this book by the author for an honest review)
I just knew that as soon as I got my hands on this book, that after reading book 1 (Ruby Blue) that it would fill the void for a while after having to leave Ruby at the end of book 1.
~~ Trolls ~~ Mermaids ~~ Dragons ~~ Fae ~~
As I re-enter the magical world of Ruby and her fae friends I’m once again immersed into another wild ride of an adventure!! Your imagination runs ramped up as Ruby, along with her fae friends encounter trolls and mermaids. (oh no, this can‘t be good because Ruby doesn’t like fish!)
As you read Deja Blue you’ll find yourself hooked as author Julie Cassar and her quirky loveable characters unfold so magnificently as words together continue in this amazing story. I love the teen-age dialog that goes back and forth between the characters, Julie has nailed it perfectly in my opinion. So much so that I could quite easily see a teen-ager saying or talking the exact same way! Well done Julie Cassar…
Come along and enjoy this beautiful story or Ruby and friends as the very believable tale of magic, mystery and suspense is created just for us as the reader.
Brennan and Anya are franticly trying to find out who is after Ruby. (I love these two) why is Ruby in trouble again? Oh my, will Anya and Brennan ever find out who is after Ruby, and will it be in enough time if they do? Ruby’s gifts are going as each trial or adventure is encountered, ones that she never thought possible.
Author Julie Cassar is such a phenomenal in her writing style, as she captivates us all. Whether you’re a YA or adult you will truly enjoy it just as I have. I promise you wont be disappointed one bit. You will fall in love with this series.
If you haven’t yet to indulge yourself in the amazing world of Ruby, you are truly missing out on a terrific story and read. It will have you impatiently waiting for the next book to be released.
So beautifully written, with loveable characters that your mind and heart will be spinning on a roller coaster of a ride, so hurry up and jump on board as it comes to a slide.. But beware you are in for a dynamic ride!!! But I can promise you this ride wont end at that end of this book. So hold on tight.
Hurry up Ms Cassar, and give us some ore of Ruby and her friends so we can soar straight into “Sky Blue”

The Review Wow, just Wow, there was a lot more excitement in this one than the first and I thought that one was the bees-knees, I knew there was more to Brennen, won’t say anymore, spoilers and all that, I can’t wait for Book 3, This series just gets better and better, I am loving the way this author writes, she has hit the nail on the head as far as I am concerned, Now I know my daughter will love this one, she loves mermaids, doesn’t every girl? The plot in this book had me stuck to it, like glue, I actually stayed up too late to finish this one, but I could not put it down, Now that’s a sign of a great book, in my eyes anyway, We have all our favourite characters in this one as well as a few new ones, who only added to this great story in my opinion, I would highly recommend this one, I would read book 1 first although I think you could probably get away without reading the first if you wanted to read this as a stand alone, as everything is basically introduced to you in this book, which is great, 5/5
My review of Deja Blue by Julie Cassar Book Two of the Ruby Blue Series
Rating 5*****
This book was provided free by the author in exchange for honest literary review.
Ruby has had a pretty awesome summer so far. She has a dreamy boyfriend named Nick who oozes Italian dreaminess. She has an awesome drama queen /goth/gay best friend named Jeremy who is king of the one liner responses. Plus she has just slayed a nasty dragon a few months ago and saved her town. Life is good right? Not so much. See Ruby talks to fairies and somehow she has upset someone down in fairy-land who now wants her dead. Also, her two best fairy friends are noticeably absent moreso than ever. Oh and now she has to help a mermaid solve a big problem ......just another day huh?
I have to say hats off the Julie again. Excellent non - traditional fairy plot. Believeable teenge characters whom I adore and I think I am moreso in love with Jeremy and his sarcasm than even in the first novel. Very few sophomore books of a series hold up to the calibur of the first novel, bu this one does that and then some. Plot is well developed and fast paced without being confusing. It was a pleasure to review this book! Ruby is still slightly awkward, just a normal teen trying to cope the best way she knows how. She comes across as positively amazing and adorable. I would recommend this book highly. I read it in one setting and it completely held my rapt attention!!!!!! Well worth the money and time to read!!!!! by Michelle mcqueen
'I have received this book from the author in ruturn of an honest review.'
I had the pleasure of r&r the first book in this series, Ruby Blue. It was wonderful; however, now that I've read Deja Blue I am so sold! I loved this book and to tell you the truth I began it the morning of 1/22/2013 and finished it that very same day around 8:00 that evening. It was just that good that I couldn't even put it down for a moment. The main characters are the same with Ruby, of course, Jeremy, Nick, Leo, Anya and Brennan. There were a few added to the mix now that the dragon is dead. The mysticism has definitely been kicked up a knotch and the action and adventure has been kicked up several knotches. The romance, oh the romance...I thought my heart was going to beat out of my chest on a couple of parts because this book has you rooting for one person until you learn about the unspoken love of another. Ruby definitely became a super hero in my eyes and everyone in the book with the highest honor and respect. She showed her weaknesses and strengths along with her friends. This book will have you laughing, cheering and almost crying when you read all of the words, spoken and unspoken. I loved this story and will definitely end up reading it again. Its just one of those you can read over and again and not get tired of it. I can't wait until Sky Blue comes out, especially with that cliffhanger of an ending with Deja Blue. Well done Julie Cassar! ~AC Wright (WaAr)~ Ruby Blue (Volume 1)
This is a wonderful sequel to Ruby Blue, but even if you haven't already fallen in love with these characters & their story this one should guarantee you do! OMG talk about heart racing anxiety attack!?! I LOVE this book...for so many reasons!!! Not only are the characters adorable, entertaining, & full of charm, but the story feels like it's meant to be. It never feels forced & flows so well. As Kansas (Ruby) is learning life lessons, decision making, & hidden truths I relate to her as I'm taken back in time to being that carefree teen who has yet to understand life yet. As Cassar reveals the next lil' piece of her puzzle I am drawn in more & more! I absolutely love Brennan, Anya, & Jeremy!!! And...thanks to that ending...I can not wait for the next book! ~ Grá mo chroí go deo ~
She has done it again!! 5 Stars is an understatement for Deja Blue. Julie Cassar has a wonderful way with words, she can take the smallest detail and make it into something that keeps us, as readers, guessing. Deja Blue is a must read for anyone. I never thought she would have been able to top Ruby Blue, but she has done just that with Deja Blue. It blew my mind, get your copy today and let it do the same for you. Hats off to you Julie, keep up the spectacular work and keep us guessing.
I received this book free from Julie, in exchange of a honest review. Thank you so much, Julie!! <3
As you know, I loved the first volume, “Ruby Blue”. After reading “Deja Blue”, I can say that I love the 2nd volume even more. I L.O.V.E. IT! This book is simply… Magic!
After I read “Ruby Blue” , I was dying to read the sequel, “Deja Blue”. And finally, after I thought that I was gonna go insane, I read it. And I absolutely love it! It’s better then I thought. No, I’m dying to read “Sky Blue”!
“Deja Blue” is very captivating. Along with Ruby, you will discover a lot of things about the Magic world of Faries, Mermaids and Dragons. You will be amazed by this awesome world, built with a lot of imagination. I liked the atmosphere of mystery. It hooked me and I couldn’t put the book down because of it. I loved the charaters, especially Jeremy and Brennan! Gosh, those boys are amazing! Jeremy is so funny and sarcastic and kind of a drama king. He’s just adorable! As for Brennan…. Well, he’s hot. Sometimes he can be a jerk, but when he’s not, belive me, you’ll fall in love with him! The fast pace won’t give you a break. There is always something that surprised me and that made me turn the page. The plot is just amazing! And the end just made me wonder what will happen next? What’s going on with Ruby and Brennan?
Julie, you’re such an amazing author! I love you and your books and please, please hurry up with “Sky Blue”! I just feel like I want to sleep until “Sky Blue” is published! <3
Overall, “Deja Blue” is an amazing read. If you didn’t read yet “Ruby Blue” , what are you waiting for? Buy it, read it, love it!
Ruby Blue is having the best summer of her life. She has a new hot boyfriend, Nick. They have fun together and Ruby really, really likes him. But she didn’t forget her best friends either: Jeremy, her gay-drama-queen best friend , Anya, her Fairy best friend and Brennan, her jerk-Fairy friend. But lately, Brennan isn’t as jerk as he was. Now , he’s a real friend, who’s supporting and protecting Ruby. As I was saying, Ruby is having the best summer of her life. She’s having so much fun with her friends and her boyfriend! But she can’t forget about the world of Fairies. After Dragon Sirrush bit her, Ruby gets some of his skills, like swimming super fast or hearing the mindspeaking of the Fairies.
But someone wants her dead, because she killed Sirrush and her friends step in to protect her. The troubles keep coming to Ruby. While swimming alone, a bunch of boulders falls on her and sh is stuck in the water. Using her mindspeak skill, she calls Brennan, who came to save her, along with a mermaid , Celeste. Celeste is in love with a Troll and their union is forbidden. The only way to be together is if Celeste’s Court wins the Challenge. Brennan wants Ruby to participate for Celeste. Will Ruby accept and help Celeste? Will she get rid of the dead threat? What will happen between Ruby and Nick? If you want to find out all this things and some more, read the book!
This book is excellent! I recommend this series with the biggest pleasure. It’s a must have for YA lovers!
Deja Blue is the sequel to Ruby Blue and let's just say Julie Cassar "Blew It Out Of The Water" with this one! As a teenager enjoying her summer before her 18th birthday Ruby is just an ordinary girl or is she? She has a super hot boyfriend, an awesome but very gay best-friend, and two real life Fairy friends. This is no ordinary girl and she soon finds out that she is no longer just an ordinary teenager because of what happened with the dragon. Oh yes, I said dragon. If you haven't read the first Ruby Blue book then you must to find out about the incredible dragon and what happens to Ruby to make her even more special!
Now that she finds herself no longer just ordinary, she realizes someone is trying to kill her?! What? Seriously, what did she do that was so horrible? She is just Ruby, Scooby, or Kansas as her family and friends like to call her. So Ruby finds herself embroiled in new trials she never thought possible and adventures she never even dreamed of!
From mermaids and trolls to underwater night swimming and competitions so awesome it is unheard of, Ruby finds herself frightened and excited all in the same breath! Not only does she have to deal with all of that but one of her best-friends is now acting kind of strange. What is up with Brennan? Love/hate? Only the third book in the series will tell us! Can't wait to read it!
Julie Cassar is a genius when it comes to YA writing! Someone compared her to Judy Blume and I would totally have to agree! Her books are witty and fun, they are full of adventure and intrigue, and the characters wrap around your heart and won't let go!
Please check out this latest installment of the Ruby Blue Series and I promise, like a fairy unable to lie, that you will NOT be disappointed!
I received this book from the author to give an honest review. I wish I could give Deja Blue and Ruby Blue more than 5 stars because both books deserve it.
Book 2 in a great magical series Deja Blue has the same characters Ruby, Jeremy, Anya and Brennan. You will get to meet new characters and learn that Ruby has new abilities from the bite she received from the dragon that her and her friends accidentally killed. Which is in book 1 Ruby Blue.
In Deja Blue there are mermaids, trolls, a new love angle going on. Everything is fast-paced and will leave you wanting more. Of course Jeremy still has me laughing with drama filled life at times hehe. Especially when he was on his date and he starts texting Ruby asking her how to get red slushie out of white pants.
Of course Ruby has me laughing again with the way she talks. She was written perfectly in this story When she is with Nick and his parents. And he goes to wake her up in the morning. This one part will make you burst out laughing "Ohmygoshhh! Your parents! They're right next door! Get the hell outta my bed-couch-thing-whateverthehell it is! They're gonna think I'm a ho-bag!" It's nice to know that Ruby cares what his parents will think of her.
If you want a fast-paced, action-filled, laughter, love, friendship and magic then I highly suggest you give this book a try. Where this book left off I want to know more about the hit that was put on Ruby, what more will happen with the Water Court. And what exactly is up with Prince Brennan I feel as though he has feelings for a special someone!
I was given and e-copy in exchange for my honest review, which made my day, I loved volume 1.
Deja Blue is Volume 2 in The Ruby Blue Series. I loved Volume 1, and let me say Volume 2 is just as awesome, if not more. Ruby and her friends, you know the fairies, are back! Ruby has learned something new about her Fey connection, but has also figured out that there is many things left for her to learn. Poor girl really needs some magical Cliff Notes. Now she has gotten herself in debt. Not your, "Oh, I don't have Converse in that color, CHARGE IT!" kind of debt. The debt of owing a Mermaid...yep, you heard me....Mermaid. Not only does she have to worry about that, but she also has the issue of someone wanting to kill her. Yep, that Ruby really gets herself into the biggest pickles. Still, after everything she has been thru in the past, I am sure she would rather face another dragon than to overcome this next adventure.
The story is amazing, along with the characters. The gang is back, including my favorite...Jeremy. There are also several new magical characters added to this adventure. And let me just make my confession now, I am so crushing Brennan in this book...I know you are laughing at me now, but you just wait!
I highly recommend this YA read, but if you have read Volume 1, I am sure this is already in your TBR pile. Now, I just have to wait until Volume 3 comes out.....

I was given this book in return for an honest review. Ruby is back with her best friend Jeremy and her 2 fairy friends Anya and Brennan. While vacationing with her boyfriend Nick and his family, she finds that she is developing more powers as a result of her dragon bite. She swims extrodinarily fast, while swimming alone, she has a bunch of boulders fall on her and pin her underwater. Brennan hears her cries in his mind and comes with a mermaid to save her. The mermaid named Celeste is in love with a troll and their union is not allowed. Did I mention a hitman has been hired to kill Ruby because she killed the Water Court's Dragon? She is protected by spells and the fae until Brennan comes up with a way to pay her debt to Celeste for saving her and get the Troll hitman off her back. It will involve precious rocks,a competition and a lot of training. Is she up for it? Can she get the hitman off her tail and help Celeste be with the love of her life? It is a hard task to undertake and you won't know how it turns out without reading the book yourself. There are some fun Michigan facts and slang in the book as well, along with mermaids, mermen, watersprites, sea serpants, kelpie, etc. Just a really fun read. WaAr
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
An amazing continuation into the life of Ruby Blue, Deja Blue has literally blown me away! The Author has done a fantastic job of developing the characters further into the story of Fay and humans living amongst each other on a lake in Michigan. With more magic, more romance, thrilling adventures, a few more near death experiences, and lots of ice cream, this book will not disappoint Ruby fans!
When a soon to be 18 year old Ruby discovers she has more than just fairy hearing after being bitten by a dragon, her life is changed forever and is in danger. With attempts on her life it is up to Anya and Brennan, her fairy friends, to protect her at all cost. When during one attempt on her life a Mermaid helps rescue her, Ruby will find herself indebted, and what the mermaid will ask as repayment may just be the death of her. With a challenge no human has ever faced, Ruby will find herself mixing with royalty, mermaids, and trolls alike. With an ending that will have you screaming for more... you do not want to miss reading this book! My daughter is going to freak!
I enjoyed reading this book even more than the first; Ruby Blue. A YA fiction with ‘fairytales’, but these are not your ordinary delicate fairies. Oh no, Ruby’s fairy friends are kick-ass royal fairies, adding a funny twist to the general stereotype.
In this sequel, the reader is introduced to other supposed myths, such as mermaids and trolls, the consequences of killing Sirrush the dragon, and also the unusual laws of the different courts.
This book was more fun to read than the last because there was a lot more going on, the reader is filled in with more background information about the fairies and there is again the element of adventure throughout the book so there’s no chance of becoming bored!
I am looking forward to the next book in the series because I am curious to find out what will happen between Ruby and Brennan now that she has figured out his feelings! And what will she do about her perfect Nick, who is unaware of her secret life? Questions, questions....but I believe the third book in the series has been released, which means hopefully I won’t have to wait too long for answers (;
**I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review**
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
It was such a treat connecting with Ruby and her friends again as they headed on another adventure. In the first book Ruby killed a dragon, but in “Deja Blue”, Ruby has bigger fish to fry. And yes, she really hates fish!
As much as I enjoyed “Ruby Blue”, the first book in this series, I enjoyed this one even more. The reader meets a whole bunch of new characters – some likeable and others not so much – but what I really loved most about this story was where the author took me with her boundless imagination. The setting for this story is so much different from what you read in most books, and the last 100 pages of the story were really suspenseful.
The ending was a complete unexpected surprise which left me teary-eyed, but it was a perfect ending as I would love to see Brandon and Ruby becoming more than friends. The author’s signature quirky writing and the side-splitting banter between the characters, as well as an exceptional plot, makes “Deja Blue” the perfect breakaway read.
I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
Pop Culture References: Twilight, Jersey Housewives, Harry Potter, The Sopranos, Kate Middleton/the Royals
Funniest part of entire book: “Ohmygoshhh! Your parents! They’re right next door! Get the hell outta my bed-couch-thing- whateverthehell it is! They’re gonna think I’m a ho-bag!” Quickly followed by: "Oh crap. She is so gonna think I’m a skank ho-bag…." BURST out laughing :)
This is a wonderful sequel to Ruby Blue. In Deja Blue we are introduced to mermaids, find out more about the special Fey abilities Ruby has acquired, and are told about a new love angle. The writing is funny, quirky and fast-paced. The book if full of humor and adventure. I just wish it was longer!!!
I so hope a third novel is coming out SOON! Because I really want to read more about this new love angle introduced and more about Ruby's connection the the Water Court. WaAr
This book exceeded my expectations for a second book. I said it when I read Ruby Blue and I will say it again, I absolutely ADORE Julie Cassar's writing style! Her books are just fun to read! Her characters remind me of my own friends, they are written very realistically. I love all the Wizard of Oz and Harry Potter references. I adore the character of Jeremy and always get excited when he comes in. He is so silly and happy and just makes any scene he is in, fun. Mr. Hotness, Nick, is swoonworthy of course, and pretty sweet. However, I found myself really latching on to Brennan in this book more. I'll be vague so as not to give spoilers away...the ending gave me so many "Awwwww" moments that I am still sitting here smiling as I type this!! Great writing, Great Characters, a Great book for young adults or just people who like young adult books, like me! As soon as I saw the words "The End" I bought the next one. I'm off to read book 3, Sky Blue, now!!
Deja Blue was such a fun read! I thoroughly enjoyed catching up with the gang.
This was a fun-filled adventure for Ruby and her friends, starting not too far from where Ruby Blue had left off (completely filled in on the events that took place before though).
What I liked: Just as with Ruby Blue, this book has something very unique in the story line. There are elements of things we've heard before, but spun in a delightfully new way. I could see more of what I perceive Julie's personality to be come through. She strikes me as quirky fun, with just a real spark of excitement when she talks to you - and there was just more of that here.
What I didn't like: The event that took place was fun, and although I did enjoy it - there was a little predictability to it. That being said, I'm certain I couldn't have written it better, therefore I actually cannot blame the author for that.
Would I recommend the book: Yes! It is lighthearted, fun for any age group.
This was a amazingly written book by Julie Cassar. I was blown away how I felt like I was in the story with Ruby and her friends. This was 2nd in the series and I was drawn to the pages as Ruby a regular teenager or is she? As her relationship with Nick is going well and her BBF Jeremy who is gay has a boyfriend and her other best friends who are fairies.
After strange things start to happen to Ruby as she tries to have normal summer with Nick. Will Anya and Brennan find out who is after Ruby? As Ruby discovers more and more abilities she has but they be enough to get her out of the trouble that she finds? As Ruby finds herself faced with trials and some startlingly new discovery.
I was in awe by the second book as I was in the first book. Julie Caesar knows how to draw you in and keep you there. I can't wait for more books in series.
Book two in the Ruby Blue series does not disappoint. I liked the first one, I LOVE this book! The story is fantastical and believable at the same time. I really enjoyed the way that Ruby has matured a bit from the first book, she did after all just turn 18.
Continuing her relationship with Mr. Hotness gets tricky while dodging the scary stalker guy, train for a fairy competition, and learn to use her new dragon and Fae powers. We are introduced to Merpeople and Trolls in this new adventure of Ruby's.
Her relationships with the Fae Royal Courts get much more complicated and Brennan starts to act weird. The direction this book is taking Ruby has me begging for the next installment! My toes curled, I bellowed "NOOOOOO" at the end because I wanted more.
The story line is intriguing, it is very well written, and I just can't say enough good things about it.
Deja Blue by Julie Cassar Whilst getting ready to write this review, I read the blurb of the book for the first time. The one word that jumped at me was Magic. The world of Ruby is truly magical as is the reference to the wizard of Oz, her amazing friends and loads of new and fresh situations that have been introduced by this author. We have Fae, Dragons, Mermaids and humans but their relationship to one another is new and fresh and truly magical. This, the second book in the series is far better than the first, and I adored the first. Which makes my second 5 * rating a bit of a letdown. In future, I will start the first book of a series on a 4 * so that I can show the fact that I adored the second even more than the first by bumping up the star rating. If you like YA, and paranormal, like light, bright and easy reads, then I can guarantee you will love this series. WaAr
In this installment of Ruby's adventures, that phrase takes on a number of meanings. Once again, Ms Cassar has nailed the teenage voice and done so in an entertaining and thoughtful way. Her characters are real people with no so real people problems. I cried, I giggled, I laughed loudly enough to earn odd looks in public and I didn't care, cause my friends from Ruby's world dragged me into their story and the rest of the world no longer mattered. I, for one, am counting the minutes until the next book when MAYBE I can find out what Ruby does about Brennan. Way to go, Ms Cassar! My kudos to, yet another, thrilling and enjoyably clean story. I would recommend this book for anyone who enjoys a great tale, no matter age or gender!
I was given this book to read by the author, it is the second book in the Ruby Blue Series After the first book with the dragon Ruby finds out she has some new powers, swimming fast is one of them, she has a race with Nick and beats hit when there are away with his mum and dad,
you have some one trying to kill her and Brennan and a mermaid say her but she has to repay the her back so you get the swimming challenge
You have some funny bits in it when Ruby says with Nick and his family in a hotel
you get to me trolls and the mermaids, more faries
Jeremy who is a gay Goth is still in love with Michael and you have some funny pages with Jeremy text Ruby
i cant wait for the next book to come out and found out what more things Ruby gets into
This contined the adventure of Ruby and her faries friends. In this book Ruby have a new gift and she have to help Celeste a mermaind to be with her boyfriend and with her family and for that she needs the help of her friends Anya and Brennan. Brennan helps her when she needs him but one night he left her with Anya because he was upset on her and Ruby felt so lost without him. Then she realized that she needs him to be with her.I love Brennan because he always protect her and loves her.For him Ruby means home. He is so sweet and loving and a real friend. Ruby continue the relationship with Nick her boyfriend .She feel normal when he is around her.In this book we discovered more about fairy land and his rules. It is a amazing world Thank you Julie for this ebook.
This is book two in The Ruby Blue Series, and follows on from where Ruby Blue ended.
In this adventure, Ruby and her friends come across mermaids and trolls. Continuing from her previous adventure, not everyone is happy that Sirrush is dead and sets out to get revenge, throwing Ruby right in the middle.
The book is entertaining, well written, provides great visual descriptions and the characters are still completely lovable. The teenage language is perfect for this story, and doesn’t distract from the book, characters or plot.
Looking forward to the next instalment, especially to see how things develop with Brennan.
In Deja Blue, Ruby encounters some new magical beings she thought only exist in books. Ruby must try to stay alive and help Celestine marry Troll Bexin. You see the cant be together. Celestine belongs to the Water Court and Bexin belongs to the Earthen Court.
Deja Blue is a magical read. Ruby is witty and a normal 17yr old. Well as normal as you can be when you see faeries. Jeremy the awesome best friend is funny and sarcastic. The faeries Anya & Brennan bring their world to Ruby's back yard. Cassar has managed again to mesh normal day to day life with magic. Fast pace adventure mixed with great friendship and love.. What more can you ask for.. Loved it can't wait for the next book.
