From Christina Dodd: Several years ago, when I wrote WILDER FAMILY HALLOWEEN, I loved revisiting the Wilder family and discovering what happened after Darkness Chosen. This year, I updated the story, and posted it on my website for October. I’m also posting it here, in October *only,* as a download for my readers who would like to keep the story as part of their Darkness Chosen collection. So…
— WILDER FAMILY HALLOWEEN is a *short* Darkness Chosen epilogue (11 pages.)
— This download of WILDER FAMILY HALLOWEEN contains links to my other books and an excerpt of STONE ANGEL: the Chosen Ones.
— During the month of October, WILDER FAMILY HALLOWEEN can be read for *free* on my website. Visit christinadodd.com and follow the links from the home page.
However you read it, I hope you enjoy WILDER FAMILY HALLOWEEN! Warmly, Christina Dodd
Brand new! TEACH THE TORCHES TO BURN: Daughter of Montague Historical Fiction Once upon a time a young couple met and fell in love. You probably know that story, and how it ended (hint: badly). Only here’s the thing: That’s not how it ended at all… The Daughter of Romeo and Juliet, the real story https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...
Readers become writers, and Christina has always been a reader. Ultimately she discovered she liked to read romance best because the relationship between a man and a woman is always humorous. A woman wants world peace, a clean house, and a deep and meaningful relationship based on mutual understanding and love. A man wants a Craftsman router, undisputed control of the TV remote, and a red Corvette which will make his bald spot disappear. When Christina’s first daughter was born, she told her husband she was going to write a book. It was a good time to start a new career, because how much trouble could one little infant be? Ha! It took ten years, two children and three completed manuscripts before she was published. Now her suspense, paranormal, historical, and mystery novels have been translated into 30 languages and sold more than 15 million copies in print. Praised for her “brilliantly etched characters, polished writing, and unexpected flashes of sharp humor that are pure Dodd” (Booklist), her award-winning books have landed on numerous Best of the Year lists and, much to her mother's delight, Dodd was once a clue in the Los Angeles Times crossword puzzle. She lives with her family in the Pacific Northwest, where her 700 lavender plants share the yard with her husband’s various “Big Projects,” including a treehouse, zipline, and their very own Stonehenge. Enter Christina’s worlds and join her mailing list for humor, book news and entertainment (yes, she’s the proud author with the infamous three-armed cover) at christinadodd.com. Her legions of fans know that when they pick up a Christina Dodd book, they'll find the story, "Wildly entertaining, wickedly witty!" Christina is married to a man with all his hair and no Corvette, but many Craftsman tools.
Since I had read the whole Darkness Chosen series, I thought this would be nice to read the epilogue and catch up with the whole family…… I never thought that I would have to pay a dollar for less than a chapter ……
I wish somebody would have said something about this epilogue only being like 11 or 12 pages….. This was hardly worth purchasing
Cute fluff piece - do not read until you finish the actual series. DC01 Scent of Darkness DC02 Touch of Darkness DC03 Into the Shadow DC04 Into the Flame DC04.5 Wilder Family Halloween
"Wilder Family Halloween" by Christina Dodd. A short story happening at the end of the Darkness Chosen series.
So cute! It's just a really short story updating the readers about how the Wilder family is doing after having broken the curse with the devil. You get a small glimpse into what is happening with each of the Wilder sons and their wives from Konstintine's point of view. I actually laughed out loud at some parts!
Wilder Family Halloween is a little story that is a continuation of the Darkness Chosen saga. There isn't much to it. It's just the entire Wilder family together for Halloween and all the cuteness involved.
Lots of family, love, and baby goodness!!
If you liked the Darkness Chosen series then you will definitely like this story.
For a short story, it was good. I love the Wilder family and getting a glimpse back into their lives was sweet, but it really is a very short story so no high expectations or you will be disappointed. Very glad it was free.
This was a nice novella and I loved seeing this family again, especially in this happy moment. Konstantine is so happy with the life and friends that Halloween is a great feast for everyone, but I loved seeing the girls again and remembering their battles.
Enjoyed getting to see more into the Wilder clan. Seems like all of them has a secret to share. I really loved the costumes. It made me laugh. Short and Sweet.
What a treat! I remember feeling lost after I finished the Darkness Chosen series. This short Halloween peek into the lives of the Wilder family was great.
I received a copy of Wilder from a friend and I wasn't sure I was interested in reading it. I thought I would try this short story to see if this shifter series is something I might enjoy. I was so disappointed in this story, a bunch of men dressed in stupid costumes and their wife's dressed just as badly, no mention of fierce warriors. Costumes and descriptions of a new house and food, that was the story.
It wasn't an excerpt... it wasn't even a chapter.... more like several paragraphs describing the few minutes before guests arrive for a Halloween party...
I think the only point here is to sell books...but I didn't even get enough of the family dynamics to want to buy these books.
Nothing interesting, just little simple read with everyone dressed in their costumes and the wives soon to be adding additions to the family. Read from Authors website
This is the epilogue that was missing from the final book of the series. It super short and simple. I actually wanted something more from this novella.
How can you not fall in love with this family?! I loved the entire series but truly enjoyed how easy it was to fall into the book and feel the fun of this holiday.
