The head resident of Greenwood dorm, Mitsuru Ikeda, has been kidnapped by men dressed in black wearing dark glasses and riding in a jet black expensive car But standing right next to him when he was kidnapped was cute, girlish Shun Kisaragi, the child of a wealthy and powerful company president Why would anyone kidnap Mitsuru, whose favorite meal is whatever is on next-door dormmate Kazuya Hasukawa's plate? And why is Shun the only one who seems to care that Mitsuru Is gone?
I still don't really get this series. No one is magic or the chosen one or hiding from monsters or a martial arts expert or part of a set of identical siblings. So I'm not really sure what the point is? This seems to be a series about a group of guys who live in a dorm at an all boys boarding school.
In this volume, one of the residents is kidnapped, two fall in love, there is a heat wave and people go swimming, and a runaway kid shows up at the dorm.
I'm not sure if I'll read more of these or not. I'm intrigued, I think, because I still don't really understand this whole thing.
This series continues to be cute and irreverent, with episodic slice-of-life stories, little overarching plot, and unserious yet likeable characters. Includes playful author notes, a melodramatic kidnapping, and a one-off instance of supernatural abilities.
Another solid volume here. The characters continue to develop, and while the last two-parter in the book is weak, overall its good stuff. Also, there's an excellent little side story about a gay couple who live in the dorms. It's very well done, and avoids some of the usual insensitive stereotypes.
There are many shonen-ai undertones in the second volume and I'm not a big fan of them but still I liked this volume. I wonder where this will go from here.
