In Love With Her Boss is a book by American author, Christie Ridgeway in the Montana Mavericks series. Lori Hanson has come to Whitehorn for two reasons: to escape her violent ex-husband and to find her half-sister. Temping as a receptionist for builder Josh Anderson throws a spanner into her plans: she doesn’t want a relationship with a man, any man, even if he is as gorgeous, gentle and caring as Josh. But Josh is determined to win her heart, even if he has to be infinitely patient around this very skittish beauty. Lori is a feisty heroine, determined not to be a victim; Josh is a gentle giant. This is a sweet romance that features characters from earlier novels in this series and an ongoing mystery surrounding the Hip Hop Café and its owner. Enjoyable.

I'm slowly working my way through Ridgway's backlist.
This was a sweet story. I really liked Josh's character. He was a very strong man, sweet and caring. I enjoyed Lori's character, too, though more in the beginning than toward the end. I understood the reasons she pushed Josh away in the end, but I still became frustrated by it. I was also disappointed that it ended as it did, without finding out what became of the villain - though there are other books in the series so we may find out later.
Overall I really enjoyed the story. It had some flaws but the character are very well suited.

Good series - each book presents more questions about what is going on - not too many answers. Great characters. Suspense kept the pages turning!

I enjoyed it. This was a fun book to read. The characters were really developed and easy to get to know. I really loved Josh's character. He's so freaking hot! Sweet and caring with Lori. He was such an incredible guy. I think I fell in love with him right along with our heroine. And I absolutely loved that it was in dual POV. I loved to be inside his head and feel everything that he was feeling.
The story itself was romantic and swoon-worthy! And even though the plot has been used before, I still fell in love with it nonetheless.
