Enjoy this FREE sneak peek of the latest from Jennifer E. Smith, author of The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight. Perfect strangers Graham Larkin and Ellie O'Neill meet-albeit virtually-when Graham accidentally sends Ellie an e-mail about his pet pig, Wilbur. The two seventeen-year-olds strike up an e-mail relationship, even though they live on opposite sides of the country and don't even know each other's first name. In a witty and unforgettable correspondence, Graham and Ellie share details about their lives, hopes, and fears. But they don't tell each other everything: Graham doesn't know the secret hidden in Ellie's family tree, and Ellie is unaware of Graham's life in the spotlight. When Graham seizes an opportunity to spend time in Ellie's tiny hometown of Henley, Maine, he takes their relationship from online to in person. But can two people from such different worlds be together despite the odds stacked against them? Spanning one fateful summer, Jennifer E. Smith's new novel proves that life - and love - are full of unexpected connections and happy mistakes.
Jennifer E. Smith is the author of nine books for young adults, including The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight and Hello, Goodbye, and Everything in Between, both of which were recently adapted for film. I do have to admit that I did enjoy the back and forth emailing between the two main characters which is why I have given this preview a high rating. However, I am hesitant to believe that I will have the same reaction to the book as a whole. Lets hope so.
oh god this is so awesome..if first 3 chapters are this awesome than i wonder how is whole book gonna be like..i cant wait to read next chapters... Dear April 2nd,please come fast.
This preview was pretty gripping, and I enjoyed all the plot twists they had. I enjoyed the emailing between the characters, I thought that was fun. It's hard for a book to be this gripping in the first three chapters, but Smith definitely did it and did it well. The only reason I gave it 3-stars was because I'm just not sure how long this is going to hold in the actual book, once I give it a shot.
The preview can get your attention in a snap. It's a fun read and some plot twist here and there. I was ecstatic about what will happen in the end so I read it kinda fast and I don't mean to be a downer but the ending was just satisfying. I expected more even though there isn't that much to expect but still I enjoy reading this books.
Lovely, lengthy, romance YA novel. Reads like a teen romance movie(not in a bad way)--famous boy, infamous girl, small town, paparazzi--love. Perfect for a beach read, or when you don't want to think too hard.
I love that this begins with just emails and ends with suspense involving the possibility of a meeting. I can't wait to read the rest when it comes out!!
