In the third of the Grayson Brother's trilogy, Marie Higgins takes us from Montana to Idaho. Gage Grayson is out to find land in Idaho to set up his own cattle ranch and to go to veterinarian school. His foray into land near Lewiston comes to a dead end when the mayor sells his land to someone else. Gage moves on to Bonner County where he hopes his father's friend, Marvin Lancaster, can help. Here he becomes engaged to Marvin's daughter Violet.
Miss Adella St. James of Lewiston has a secret. She and her sisters are really Lancaster girls. Their family was killed by the Buchanan gang and they have been hiding out for seven years to stay alive. Adella is the school teacher in Lewiston and is viewed as a genteel young lady. Who knows the hoyden who lies inside her?
After a less than delightful first meeting between Gage and Adella, they think to never meet again once he leaves Lewiston. However, Adella decides it is time to find the rest of her family and heads to Bonner County to see her aunt and uncle. The second meeting between the two is just as spark flying as the first, only this time it is bullets. Can they come to a truce? Will the Buchanan gang be stopped?
Marie Higgins does a masterful job of creating very believable and compassionate characters. The plot has twists and turns enough to keep you interested. Surprises spring up around every corner. Lovely book!

Gage and Adella
This is the third episode in this tale of the Grayson brothers and their adventures. This is a story with an abundance of adventure, excitement, wooing and love. Gage and Adella literally met by accident. He nearly runs her over while riding his horse, startled she looses her balance and falls in a muddy ditch. This has been a great trilogy and you will enjoy them a lot.

Great ending to a great series
Every time I read a Marie Higgins book I think “this is the best book ever!” Every single time. This was no different. It was a fantastic ending to a fantastic series. Loved every second of it.

This series is my first of Marie Higgins. I absolutely loved it! The romance is beautiful and so are the settings. Her characters are well developed and lovable. She can do more in the last 50 pages than anyone I've ever read!
