In my personal oppinion, i loved this series. Not just the story line, not just the characters, every single bit of it from cover to cover. Drama, Horror, Comedy, and Romance mastered in four books. Following the characters, you can't help but feel like you are there with them. A part of the team. At the end, I imagined the kids looking at their younger selves, and smiling as their younger selves stared with awestruck fascination. Johnathan Mayberry, you are one amazing writer. By far my most favorite author. I will be re-reading the series again.

Purchase The Rot Ruin Collection here for just $25!

Imagine coming of age in the middle of a zombie apocalypse. Figuring out who you are, where you belong and being force to pick a career that you will do until your end. Benny is 15 and desperately want to be out there hunting Zombies with his brother. An excellent post zombie apocalypse series.

Rot & Ruin: My definition of a really great book is one that takes you through all the emotions of the characters and leaves you weeping along with them! I loved this book!

Dust & Decay: Another great book in this series. I loved getting to know each of the characters. This book also left me in tears! Zombie apocalypses aren't pleasant and things don't always end "happily ever after".

Flesh & Bone: This one had me worried...new characters, new crazy people!! But loved it! Can't wait to see what comes next and how Joe and Grimm fall into the rest of the series. I love Joe!

Fire & Ash: Wow...what a conclusion! This really is an excellent series. I'm so glad I read it!

Love these zombie books...the only down fall was at the beginning of the next book, it seemed to replay a bit of what happened in the previous book, which a lot of series seem to do...but its a must read :) I loved the 4 books.

I like the future tense of the apocalypse theme. (14 years after day 1) I find the point of views to be naive and simple but an enjoyable read, none-the-less. I rate it 3.5 but definitely not 5. Follow up with the Joe Ledger series.
