I liked this volume and I thought it was fun. It was odd as the Diamond and Pearl chapter ends about halfway into the volume and the next chapter begins (it features the same 'Dex holders so easy to follow), but to me the final battle against Cyrus was anti-climatic. Also, I'm not a fan of the Battle Frontier mechanics, I found them tedious in the Emerald chapter and not a fan of them this time around, although I prefer Platinum over Emerald. Nice cameo by the past previous Pokedex Holders in this chapter and Sird's reappearance was a nice touch to tie Team Rocket with Teams Aqua/Magma and finally with Team Galactic.
The end of the first adventure. Unfortunately due to the format, I found the large fight scenes to be hard to follow. It made the ending confusing to me. The second adventure has started and is really moving along. It appears to have minimal characters as of yet and is more focused.
The ending of the D/P arc felt a bit rushed, especially since they started the Platinum arc right in the middle of this book. Despite the setup being strange, it was still a really fantastic manga!
This was great. I don't really like that the diamond and Pearl arc ended and the Platinum arc started halfway through the book, as the battle at Mt Coronet felt a bit rushed because of it. The final battle was really good, I loved Diamond's little monolog to Cyrus, all the feelings he's had let out all at once. The whole battle was quite dramatic, so the ending didn't quite feel right, it felt a little bit dull in the grand scheme of things.
The whole Diamond and Pearl arc has been wonderful meeting all the characters, my favourite being Lady Platinum, she was wonderful, she's a talented fighter and researcher. There were many others that caught my attention too, Diamond was so sweet, and Pearl was quite hasty and their comedy duo was quite hilarious at times, especially with their comedic timing. Cynthia and her grandmother were really cool characters too. Sinnoh was a really interesting place, I loved every moment of this story. The plot was good, the characters were great and pokemon were amazing too.
We also get to see the beginning of the Platinum arc. We still have the same characters, however Looker is a nice addition to accompany Platinum. Also, I loved the Steven cameo.
The conclusion to the Diamond and Pearl chapters seemed a bit too rushed after the big climatic battle but at least that was entertaining and enjoyable to read, however the volume really becomes a slog to read once Platinum starts to take on the Battle Facilities.
Though that could be because I’ve just never been a massive fan of that post game content though with her trying to learn more about the Distortion World I’m sure the story will pick up again shortly.
The characters now have quickly acquired large teams of Pokemon and use them in a battle at Spear Pillar. However, this battle seems to be fairly quick paced and concludes in an unsatisfying way. While I don't necessarily need twenty chapters the way they handled Groudon & Kyogre, the manipulation of time & space could lead to a lot more interesting kinds of actions and events than a relatively quick ending as shown here.
I wasn't terribly impressed with this one. The ending of the "final battle" was a bit rushed. And then the battle chateau is introduced, and I don't think it was handled very well.
I loved the climax of Diamond and Pearl, however the beginning of the Platinum part bored me a little. Maybe it's because I've never really used the Battle Frontier in any of the Pokemon games.
In this volume,we get a flash back to some trainers from previous generations. Regarding the flow of time and space, why can’t those trainers show up in this current time?
Hence the reason why I must with a reluctant face give this title one star off. However,do I know I have a few favourites in this series. Book 7 is pretty neat and it comes BEFORE THIS.

Dialga and Palkia's brutal battle ensues, and Diamond and Pearl are helpless to stop them. All the gym leaders are injured, and it's up to Cynthia and Platinum to decipher the ancient texts and find a way to stop a new universe from being created.
Sird regroups with her fellow Team Galactic admins, and weaves a story pulling in strands from
As the two legendary pokemon battle, it is up to Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum to find a way to save everything from the terrible consequences of their powers. Once that happens, Platinum sets off on her own to find out more about what happened to her real bodyguards with the help of a new assistant, The Looker.
It was an okay volume and there are some good character moments. But the art is still lacking, especially in the climactic battle sequences, and thus it isn't that exciting. Additionally, the second half suffers with the loss of Diamond and Pearl. While Platinum is given more of an opportunity to star, her new companion is erratic and it's a little unclear exactly why the people they are seeking would know the answers to the questions they ask.
This blew my mind. Even though I knew what was going to happen, this story just goes deeper than the anime and the game. And Steven Stone's cameo was everything! The transition from Diamond and Pearl to the Platinum chapter was well done.
