I graduated from the College for Creative Studies in 2004 with a BFA in illustration, my love of cartooning and comics has led me to where i am today.
I've done licensed work for DC, Marvel, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, My Little Pony:Friendship is Magic, Fraggle Rock and more. I love being a nerd, so being able to draw nerdy things for a living is the best thing ever.
I'm married to the best guy ever. Ryan keeps me grounded.
I have a daughter, Grayson, who is my booger-y little destroyer of worlds.
I like my cats... a LOT. ...Our dog isn't too bad.
I live in a state shaped like a mitten.
The constant support of my family, pets, friends, and even complete strangers, is what drives me to succeed in art. Thank you everyone, because of you, I am what I am.
I absolutely love this micro-series so far. It's incredibly cute, but what many parents will love is that it's more child friendly than the main comic series. I love that the main series is so dark in tone, but it's also fun to see a little light-hearted playfulness in the micro-series.
I actually think that this issue is a little better story-wise than the previous two issues. I loved both Rainbow Dash and Twilight's stories, but Rarity's is a bit better summed up altogether. Plus it's just fun to see Rarity's expressions when she gets dirty.
The artwork here is incredibly cute and I absolutely love seeing the aforementioned expressions whenever Rarity is forced to take part in various activities around the "spa". I've re-read this multiple times since I got it the other day and I really can't wait for the big volume edition to come out so I can get all of the various covers and any inevitable bonuses.
On a side note, the next issue looks like it's taking place during Fluttershy's childhood, so get ready for a cutie heart attack.
I can't stand hipsters, but I do like Rarity - so I'll only take off half a star. 3.5/5.
It was neat to see her help automate & sell the random products they make, and I do agree with her assessment that Applejack would like the place.
Twilight insisting on sending a letter at the end was pretty funny too lol - especially since even Celestia was like "why'd she send a letter when I was right there?."

I read this because my daughter is TOTALLY obsessed with anything My Little Pony right now. This was probably my favorite one about the Mane Six. It was hilarious and very well done. Some of the looks and comments from Rarity were priceless.
