The sixth volume of True Blood comics is what you have come to expect from it.
The characters match their tv versions pretty well, except for a few that are totally off, the story makes sense, and is something like a reaction to some of the tv shows actions and I can picture a season of the tv show having this plot, which is a plus.
The art is good enough, and characters are mostly recognizable.
The main problem here, and in some of the previous volumes, is that it feels rushed, especially the ending.
Overall, an interesting read, but only for the fans of the tv show, I doubt non-fans would like/get this volume.

This gets five stars simply for the scene where Sam turns into a T-Rex !!! Holy crap that was awesome. Plus it was fun that many of our favorite deceased characters from the past seasons of the tv show made appearances. The plot here again was quite unique and different (and it's easy to see how this plot could never make it onto the tv screen!) My only complaint was the cliff-hanger ending. 1) All of the other volumes were dedicated stories that ended at the last page and 2) this is the last volume! Whenever will we find out what Eric was up to??

I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I picked it up for ridiculously cheap with no expectations whatsoever, and haven't read any of the previous volumes (so can't compare this to those). I figured it would be a pretty lame imitation of the show (sorry, not a fan of the books...) but it ended up being kinda funny, fun, and the art made it very easy to tell who was who. The story did its own thing with an entirely different mythos than the expected vampire/werewolf theme. I'm even considering picking up another volume if I find a good deal on one. Not too bad at all.

Another true blood graphic novel hitting the damn mark. This one revolving around dark magic and resurrection. Why couldn't the show runners incorporate these plot lines in the show! So good.

Although this seems to be the last volume they will produce for the True Blood graphic novels, this volume does leave on a small cliffhanger, which I found to be surprising since none of the other volumes ever did. It was a bit disappointing in that regard but not enough to discourage reading the story. I think this volume more than any of the others really captures the great dialogue that the show excels at and it was great seeing the (mostly) human characters having their time to shine without the vampires and werewolves coming in to save the day.
