This story was written as a part of the M/M Romance Group's "Love Has No Boundaries" event. Group members were asked to write a story prompt inspired by a photo of their choice. Authors of the group selected a photo and prompt that spoke to them and wrote a short story.

Aubrey Watt high five for that fantastic scene,Where Jake saved Daniel during the twister.I loved the way it was described.Too short but a nice read.

Please author, be reasonable! Who the hell gets turned on while hiding in a ditch and a twister is going right over them??? No, no, no - that's a bit too much you expect from me. And then the turn from enemies to lovers with a bottle of whiskey in the wake of the twister was too fast for me incl. the hint of the dead father trying his hand in hooking his son up from the grave...
There were some sweet moments but the "hmmmm, no way" moments prevailed.

This was an okay short story, I just had a hard time believing it. I know imagination is great and all but first off the lying in the ditch scene was just a big no for me. Being turned on while a tornado is coming at you, um..okay. Just saying that laying in the ditch while a tornado that big is by you would be the same as standing and waiting for it to pass you by.

Way too short. I think had a bit more happened it would have been a higher rating. But I just couldn't give it more than 2.5 stars. I loved the fact these two were cowboys and I would be happy if there was a longer story about them eventually.

I love the prompt photo! I saw it online about three years ago and saved it. I was surprised to see it with this story. It is a great mm photo, so real and spontaneous, with shirtless cowboys in jeans and stetson’s, dancing among the livestock. Just wonderful! This story was good. Lovely, gentle writing with two sexy cowboy MCs and a good sex scene. The tornado scene was scary and well written.

Seems really badly thought out.
Hard ons while cowering from a tornado?
Cattle crashing together with sound of broken bones, but horses fine and clear up the matter of minutes.
Daniel reads like a stroppy teenager. Feels he deserves the ranch though not even basic knowledge.
And Jake is how old? No idea.

Ok so... apparently, Jake inherited the land that Daniel's dad owned a ranch on... That made Daniel mad; even though he knew nothing about ranching or whatever.... But, my one problem with this... is, when Daniel took off in a huff and went into the pasture to, I dunno cool off or whatever... Jake talks about the whistling of this tornado and how ugly and nasty and loud it is... and Daniel what? Just doesn't hear it until Jake turns him around? Then he notices the screaming wind and tornado that's actually on the ground? How can someone just miss that until they turn around and see it? Seriously?
And the graphic details of cows being picked up and rammed into each other, bone on bone crunching as they hit each other after being picked up by said tornado... it was like it was trying to be suspenseful but shit... that was just unnecessary. And THEN... while the tornado is sucking their bodies from the gully, trying to pick them up and sling them like it had the cows... One touch from Daniel has Jake rock hard and willing to what? Get naked and bone with a tornado directly above ya? I mean you did look up and see yourself in the eye of it at one point.. Forget the fear of being sucked away and thrown to your death,... I didn't understand that at all.... Then, the horses just came out of nowhere, ready to take ya back since the tornado didn't hurt them at all....
Maybe I'm being too harsh, I mean....they did end up together... even if it was just for the night, it wasn't really elaborated to much more than that night, but hey.... at least there was dancing!

A LHNB Story It's a very short but quite nice little story about a ranch hand, Jake, who's been given half of a ranch (by the former owner) that he has to share with the owner's son Daniel. Even though Daniel resents him, Jake secretly longs for one thing, a chance to dance with Daniel at least one time. Opportunity arises in the aftermath of a Twister. Other than one WTF moment (Jake is filled with lust for Daniel even while a tornado is right above their heads) this was a cute cowboy story.

Suberbly written. with the subtle way the MC Daniel is written, this is an excellent display of show, not tell. The sexual tension, built so very innocently at first and picking up speed to a very satisfying climax is masterful. Great show of chemistry between the MCs.
Due to this authors' skillful technique as well as excellent story telling, Aubrey Watt is going on my automatic buy list.

This was the story for my prompt in this writing event.
I liked the story for the most part. My only issue was that I think the author misunderstood my reference to "dry hump" as anal sex without lubrication instead of as frottage.
Still, the story was well-written and I appreciate the author's gift to me an the other M/M Romance Group members.
[NOTE: I rate most writing event stories (free reads) 4 or 5 stars because of my appreciation of the author's participation.]

This was short but sweet. Two repressed cowboys are hiding that they are gay in the homophobic community. They both are attracted to each other but can't afford to show it as they both think that the other man is straight. Add in that one resents the other for being a better cowboy and inheriting half of his late fathers ranch, a story is born. Queue in a tornado, whisky and in promtu dance lesson and sparks will fly.

Jake half owner of an ranch Daniels father owned jake had dreams of daniel in many ways. While they doing there job, his got his chance to dance with him it involves an twister to get to where they are. Just nice story about cowboys and an twister.

I liked it all expect for the tornado scene. I doubt any person would actually be thinking sexy thoughts while a tornado is on top of them. Really.

Cowboys & A Twister...sounds like it could be Chaos!
