What if the cataclysmic asteroid that forever changed life on Earth actually missed the planet completely and giant dinosaurs never became extinct? This is a hilarious, heartfelt, and original tale that only Pixar Animation Studios could bring to life. The Good Dinosaur releases in theaters on May 30, 2014. Boys and girls ages 2 to 5 will love this Little Golden Book version of the film.

My children love these little books. They thoroughly enjoy each and every story, as if they are all unique and individual without any cause for similarity among them. Even though sometimes, they might seem tedious and repetitive to me as a parent, I do enjoy being able to read short-stories to my children that are clean and respective.
Just finished a super cute book with my nephew . Reading kids book with ur younger ones is totally a different experience. Reading together, narrating those beautiful thoughts with emotions, making it more spicy and adventurous with our sound effects and exploring their imagination and stimulating curiosity.. " Oh maasi how did that happen ??🤔 Oh maasi he is alone and sad what can we do.😞 maasi he is a true hero, he saved him."😍
My boy was super excited to read this colorful book. Trust me reading with ur child does not only help their literacy skills but it has benefits for the grown ups too. The special time you spend reading together promotes bonding and builds relationships. Start as early as possible. Read together!! RAISE READERS ANYTIME IS A GOOD TIME FOR A STORY !! READING IS WORTHWHILE ♥️
This book is sad. The Father dies in the first few pages after telling Arlo he will some day make his mark in life. I'm not sure why the death of the Father was important to the narrative. From then on we have a very shy and scared dinosaur coupled with an undefeatable human baby/child. Eventually Arlo comes through and works through his fears but in the meantime one can't help but feel very sad for the little dinosaur.
Actually I read the 2019 edition ebook on Libby but I couldn't find it here.. I remembered years ago when I watched the movie, I was crying because Arlo loses his father and things hadn't changed I guess when I read this again and feel like I'm about to cry because of the same reason😢🤍
‘The Good Dinosaur’ is the newest addition in Disney’s series Little Golden Book that is going to accompany the upcoming release of eponymous Pixar/Disney’s animated movie. The book brings the adventures of one charming Dinosaur named Arlo who is going to meet a very unusual creature that will become his best friend – a human boy.
Young reader will be introduced to two main, already mentioned, characters and few others – Arlo’s family – that all together live in beautiful setting of planet Earth’s ancient history. And though the history will go in the other direction, this story of friendship is just as inspiring and beautiful…
As was the case with all the previous titles in the series, such as “Planes” or “Frozen”, this book is designed in the classic Disney style with beautiful colorful full-spread illustrations most appealing to the youngest readers, age from 2 to 6, that are the targeted audience for these Disney releases.
As was written in my reviews for previous editions, is somewhat a shame that these picture books have only 24 pages, because seems kind of demanding to squeeze the full feature movie (usually lasting around 2h) in such small number of pages.
Yet, you can be sure that your kids, as much as my 3-year daughter did, will enjoy these colorful scenes and easy to follow story with great lesson.
The book has great visuals and the story structure is solid and to the point. I have not seen this movie yet but in general I enjoy reading the book first when possible.
This book is meant as a gift for my 5 y.o. nephew who is beginning to read. I pre-read it to gauge whether he'd be able to "help someone" read it along with him, or read it all by himself. It's definitely not an easy reader style. More of a 'let's explore the story pages' style of an experience, which makes for great fun and quality time. I hope he'll enjoy the visuals as much I as do. I have enjoyed these books growing up and I'm happy to say that the illustrator of this title is a friend of mine so I'm especially looking forward to sharing this experience with him.
I have never seen the feature and I don’t intend to but I just couldn’t resist to flip through the thin few pages to get a little feel of the story. Disney will keep making the children to believe.
