Jason has a problem. He doesn't remember anything before waking up on a school bus holding hands with a girl. Apparently she's his girlfriend Piper, his best friend is a kid named Leo, and they're all students in the Wilderness School, a boarding school for "bad kids." What he did to end up here, Jason has no idea--except that everything seems very wrong.

Piper has a secret. Her father has been missing for three days, and her vivid nightmares reveal that he's in terrible danger. Leo has a way with tools. His new cabin at Camp Half-Blood is filled with them. Seriously, the place beats Wilderness School hands down, with its weapons training, monsters, and fine-looking girls. What's troubling is the curse everyone keeps talking about, and that a camper's gone missing. Weirdest of all, his bunkmates insist they are all--including Leo--related to a god.

Robert Venditti is a New York Times bestselling author of more than three hundred comic books and graphic novels. Some of his works include the monthly comic book series Justice League, Superman ’78, Hawkman, and Green Lantern for DC Comics, X-O Manowar, Armor Hunters, and Wrath of the Eternal Warrior for Valiant Entertainment, and the graphic novel Six Days, inspired by the story of his uncle’s participation in D-Day. This was an very good adaptation and a very good graphic novel. I didn't know what to expect because I was so disappointed with the Lightening Thief graphic novel, and the second book was better but not great. But this was a great story and a lot of fun. The story was easy to follow, had a lot of exciting moments, had humor and heart the way Riordan's books are supposed to and was just what it should have been. And it's really substantive, it's a thick book that takes a while to read, there's a lot of story there. I'm sure purists would quibble about what was left out, but it felt like a very good adaptation that hit the high notes of the book, from what I remember. And it felt like people who haven't read the book would be able to make sense of it, which was not a feeling that I got at all from the first two Lightening Thief graphic novels. The art was serviceable, not great but it got the job done. It's a shame he can't draw pretty woman though. Annabeth was just unattractive, the goddess of love and beauty herself looked like a middle-aged soccer mom, and poor Piper was often quite odd looking, even when she had her mother's (unwanted) blessing. There were a lot of unattractive or bland faces, really. By unattractive I mean weirdly scrunched or shaded or or shaped in ways that seemed inconsistent with the character, not a judgement about their prettiness. But despite being occasionally distracting, overall the art was fine. It was a very enjoyable book that I would recommend for fans and for newbies alike.

First of all, the art is about as far from my style as it's possible to get. None of the characters look right, but I guess that's just a matter of opinion. Second, almost all the humor from Rick Riordan is cut out. I understand it's hard to include everything in a graphic novel, but still, it wouldn't be that hard to add some of the jokes and light-hearted banter so the story doesn't just drag on and on. And drag on and on it did. If you liked The Lost Hero, I would not recommend reading this book. If you didn't like The Lost Hero, I would still not recommend this book. And if you've never even heard of The Lost Hero , I would, again, not recommend reading this book. :)

The art style is not my personal favorite, and I feel like they cut a lot of the humor... but it is a good read for when I want to read The Lost Hero but don't have time to pick up the full novel. Not bad, but not my favorite.

The Lost Hero: A Graphic Novel is a wonderful story by Rick Riordan. The story its self is in
multiple formats, so if you would like to read it you can get the chapter book, but it you like graphic novels then this book specifically is just for you. The adaption was done by Robert Venditi, the art was done by Nate Powel, and the color was done by Orpheus Collar. They did a spectacular job at adapting the chapter book to the graphic novel. They kept majority of the conversations and let the
art speak for the detailed descriptions.

One of the pages in the graphic novel is when Annabeth is flying Jason, Leo, and Piper back
to Camp Half-Blood and you get a wonderful layout of the camp from above. There is no need to
go on for a few pages describing the camp when you can see the lay out so clearly. Any of the half
or full page spreads were my favorite because the art was able to show the reader so much detail. It
is nice to be able to read the book and imagine the scenes yourself, but it is also really nice to soak in all the detail that a picture can give to the reader and add to the understanding of the scene.

Graphic novels are fast passed and you can get through the story quick! The drawings are
well done and you are able to see the characters and understand them very well. This graphic novel
compares well to the book that it is based off of, and allows the reader of the graphic novel to
understand everything that the reader of the book knows about. So if you really enjoy graphic novels
and want to learn more about the Percy Jackson Series then pick up this book!

Perfect for fans of Percy Jackson. The artist captured everything perfectly and I wish the other books were made into graphic novels so I could binge all of them. This is one of the first graphic novels I have read and it was so perfect I want to read more graphic novels. So much quicker than reading the books, but gave you a similar experience. Totally going to get my hands on The Lightning Theif to see Percy.
The art was stunning and the storyline was 100% accurate, so 100 recommend from me.

I loved this graphic novel. I've seen the Percy Jackson movies, but I haven't actually read any of Rick Riordan's books. 😬🤷🏻 but it's okay because I was able to keep up with who the characters were and what was going on in the plot. One thing that I really found interesting is the addition if the Roman gods with the Greek gods.

Now I'm going to need to borrow book 2 of this series from my library bc that ending had me shook, and I need to know what happens next!

Omg I forgot the cliffhanger at the end of this book is CRAZY. And I think when I originally read it in middle school I had to wait a year for The Son of Neptune!! I'm excited to read it. The last of the graphic novels though 😕

This book is about a boy named Jason. Jason wakes up on a bus not knowing anything, not even his girlfriend or best friend, but worse, he doesn't remember who he is. He and his girlfriend, Piper, and his best friend Leo soon find out that they are demigods, or a half blood. This means that one of their parents is a greek god or goddess. Soon they find out that Piper's mom is Aphrodite the goddess of love and beauty, Leo's dad is Hephaestus the god of blacksmiths, and Jason's dad is Zeus king of the gods. Soon they realize that Hera, Zeus's goddess wife, has been captured, and the three of them have been chosen by Hera herself to find and free her. They go through many obstacles, like when they met Medea, a evil woman who is immortal and have to escape two dragons and defeat Medea herself. They also catch some storm spirits, and bring them to the weather man who tells the gods what the weather will be like. Finally when they find Hera, it is almost too late, a giant born from Gaea, who was born to destroy Zeus is waking and they must rescue Hera before it is all over. Finally Piper and Leo release a Hera from her cage while Jason is keeping the giant busy, and through a burst of rage, Hera destroys the giant and buys them some time, for a monster of that sort can only be killed by a god or goddess and a half blood. The three still know that they will be up for a fight, but right now they need to find Percy Jackson, who has been sent to the Roman god camp, where Jason is supposed to be, and does not know who he is either, just like Jason. This book was really good to read and I really liked it. I think it relates to a Land of Stories book which is called The Grimm warning.

This book I've read is called The Lost Hero By Rick Riordan. The.The main character s Jason,Leo, and Piper. a story set in the Percy Jackson universe, in which three heroes go on a quest to rescue the goddess Hera, who has been captured by a race of giants. On the way they face many dangers from Greek mythology, including the witch Medea, King Midas, who can turn anything into gold, and man-eating one-eyed giants called Cyclopes. Jason struggles with his lost memories, eventually realizing that he is part of an exchange with a Roman camp of demigods, in an attempt to make the two rival sides reunite together in friendship.This is the best book I've read yet and i'm going to read the other book.

The graphic novel of the lost hero was awesome and very interactive.I felt as if I were there with the characters because of the pictures.Once I started reading this book I did not want to let go of it.I recommend this book to people who like fiction books and comic like structured books.If you also like greek mythology books you should definitely read this book.As you can see The Lost Hero book 1 is a great and well written book.
