It still tickles me that there are so few lines in every page of this manga. Especially in the going home scene, there are maybe only some words every page, or even just an empty (......) balloon dialog? xD And also the fact that sometimes (could be quite often) it goes on for the whole chapter xD
It's an entertaining light read, especially since the couple screams cute. It's actually so funny when I think about this manga. (please stop with that formality)
"Even if when we're dating we take the same walk home in the same silence with the same steps then that's somehow special. Even more special than it was on Wednesday."
Another super cute volume and SO happy we are FINALLY getting some developments with transparency and vocal words! YESSSSSSSSS!!!
I honestly feel like this volume was the moment I was waiting for!! Not only that, I really appreciated how it wasn't "smooth sailing" in the sense I think this is the first manga I've ever read where it was questioned what is dating. What does that look like and how does one "date"? I was taken aback by that but it feels so perfect for these two and very excited to see that despite Kawasumi not knowing what it means, he still goes for it! (Once again, his best friend is the MVP! LOL!)
My favorite chapter was hands down the parents' one! I always think it's wonderful to see parents involved in romantic stories like this and was very much entertained by how they acted when a certain someone came over. LOL! It was a really really nice chapter and I appreciated Kawasumi saying how he feels when I was upset he ran off at the end of the previous volume.
My heart DID hurt for Suiren's best friend though! That bonus short story had me saying "Awww" but also wanting to give her a hug!
Very very very happy for Suiren and everything that's happening! Despite that it seems all is well, Suiren still doesn't stop trying to grow as a person and continues to take small steps forward in showing her feelings more openly.
The only reason I gave this volume four stars instead of five is because I felt the big moment was a little bit…extra? Too much? I've tried to justify that it makes sense, but I would have wanted something quieter truthfully.
It was still a very wonderful volume though, and eagerly looking forward to the next one!

Konnichiwa to all, readers 🌸
Today I bring you the review of the fifth volume of suu Morishita's Daily Butterfly manga, which I am acquiring on paper. With that said, let's get started:
🦋 The volume begins moments after the mutual declaration between Suiren and Kawasumi, after which, the karateka is in need of separating from Suiren due to the emotional impact that has occurred.
As a result of the events in the house of terror, the disorientation in the love of the imminent couple becomes more manifest when they do not know the meaning of "going out together" and of formalizing their relationship.
🦋In the central chapters we can see how the already established activity of accompanying the unattainable flower home by the karateka ends up introducing Suiren's parents to the story with the heartthrob getting to know them.
It should be noted that the scene is violent for Suiren, who is also not quite clear about what love is, but shows us a portrait of parents who understand their daughter and only want her good.
It could be pointed out that they feared that he had fallen into the hands of a pimp (as occurs in other stories of the romantic genre).
🦋In the last chapters, without going into the gaiden starring Aoi, which is focused on the second day of the festival, the usual patterns are repeated in which most of the students tear their clothes for Suiren, declaring themselves massively in a useless and desperate gesture to make her reconsider.
From this part, I highlight how Kawasumi steps forward and formally asks Suiren to go out, finally reaching the rank of boyfriends.
🌸 Conclusion: The fifth volume is irregular in its intensity, feeling transitional and epilogue compared to its predecessor.
As one last important aspect, I am struck by Koharu's mature gesture when finally giving up on conquering Kawasumi in some emotional panels.
Finally got them to both agree they want to date and of course the rest of the guys at school are in denial and wishing it was them instead. No one other than their friends even seems to realize that they've been friendly for awhile now, especially by their standards as both are more than a little socially awkward. Suiren's parents are something else too, though at least the mom seems to be somewhat willing to follow her daughter's lead in this case. Though Suiren is quiet, she does have some idea of what she likes. Aya and her father may have the most trouble with the change, but at least everyone in her immediate circle is supportive.

Finally! Things are happening! We get some words to read!
Ok, seriously, I smiled and even laughed a few times in this volume. It's a much better experience now that they're on the same page and speaking how they feel. There's still plenty of quiet and looks and blushing, but I like that Suiren is talking more, and that when she does, it's impactful. The chapter with the parents was great. I'd love to see these two exchanging a diary. It would fit the whole theme so well.
Also, them speaking more allows more of their personalities to come through. They aren't just quiet pushovers. If they have something to say, they'll say it no matter how many people are there.
Suiren and Kawasumi were so cute together and the progression of their relationship during this volume was brilliant and lovely. Seeing Kawasumi's reservation about dating and what it is actually, was brilliant. It felt like he was respecting Suiren by trying to understand it. Seeing the confession was so brave and heartfelt, him meeting her parents was hilarious and so him. The last chapter in Aya's perspective was lovely and such a brilliant show of their friendship. The art complements the story so well and really conveyed the character's thoughts so well. This was a brilliant and wonderful read, so worth the read.

Well, it's good that they started dating already but I see nothing happening in their dates, and now tha guy is interrupting them so the troubles began before even them getting closer to each other.
People recommend this manga for those who liked 'Daytime Shooting Star' but I think it's nothing like it.
It's happening! It's happening! Both Suiren and Kawasumi have admitted to each other that they like each other. Then he meets her parents! Come on, one more baby step and you're officially a couple! You can do it!
Still hoping for more drama, but it looks like we're headed that way.
cute and easy to read but i still think their relationship doesn't make much sense. i don't get why they're already saying that they love each other when they barely know ANYTHING about each other?? how can you love someone you don't talk to?

I’m not gonna lie I am liking the story, but I just feel like it’s moving super slow. I still haven’t had that moment where my heart skips a beat, all I can do is wait.
The art is very pretty is interesting to see how her art has slightly changed from this story till a sign of affection. Her characters are rounder and softer.
Can’t wait for more volumes. I just wish they stop staring so much and actually take more action.
It happened! The two are officially dating, much to the displeasure of every boy in school. Kawasuki should show off his karate skills a little bit, perhaps that will convince some of them to lay off the heckling.

They're so awkward, it's painful. I love it though! The only gripe I have with this volume was that Suiren's parents called each other Mom and Dad which was weird to me but I get it...no need to name them but still pet names like honey or sweetie would have been less cringe.
